Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a temperature adjustment of a refrigerating chamber accurately at a low cost. SOLUTION: Cool air is made to flow into a refrigerating chamber 2 positioned at an upper part of a freezing chamber 1 through a discharge duct 14 of the refrigerating chamber from a cooler 3 and is returned to the cooler 3 through a refrigerating chamber return duct 16 to circulate the cool air into the refrigerating chamber 2. The amount of the circulating cool air is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the opening area of an inlet part of the return duct 16 with a shutter 17, thereby adjusting the temperature of the refrigerating chamber.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a cooler in which the internal volume of a freezing chamber is increased, the manufacturing cost is decreased and a depth size is reduced by providing a refrigerant pipe and many platelike fins perpendicular to the pipe, and alternately displacing longitudinally the fins of the same shape. CONSTITUTION: In a cooler 15, a bypass air duct 16 is formed by perpendicularly crossing to a plurality of refrigerant pipes 15a bent in a zigzag state and longitudinally alternately displacing the films 15b of the same shape and width. With such a structure, even if external moisture is invaded into a box by opening and closing a freezing chamber door and a refrigerator door and a frosted amount of the cooler 15 is increased, circulating cold air is heat exchanged via the duct 16 formed between the fins 15b by alternately displacing longitudinally the fins 15b of the same width. Accordingly, the chambers can be held at a suitable temperature similarly to prior art. Even if the width is reduced from a conventional fin 15b to decrease its depth size, the same performance as that of the prior art can be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppress the temperature rise of contained food by increasing the rate of supply of cold gas from a damper thermostat when the cold storage door is opened so frequently that the temperature of a temperature sensitive cylinder is raised. CONSTITUTION:Food in a cold storage chamber 4 is held at a predetermined temperature by detecting a temperature change in the chamber and regulating the rate of supply of cold gas by a damper thermostat 10. When the refrigerator door 6 is opened frequently due to take-in/out of food, a switch 20 installed at a partition wall 21 is closed when the door 6 is opened, and a heater 14 provided above a temperature sensitive cylinder 9 generates heat, and hence the temperature of the cylinder 9 is raised, and the rate of supply of cold gas from the thermostat 10 is increased. Thus, a temperature rise of food placed on the front part of a shelf 13 around which the temperature is easily raised by the outside air which flows in when the door is opened can be suppressed to a small value, thereby preventing damage of the food.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To concentrically manage all types of food at one position by partitioning a storage box body into a refrigerating chamber, a cold storage chamber, a vegetable chamber and first, second intermediate temperature chambers, and providing a refrigerating cycle and a blower for forcibly ventilating the respective storage chambers. CONSTITUTION:Chilled gas formed by a cooler 22 is circulated by a blower 23, introduced from a discharge port 24 into a refrigerating chamber 5 to cool it to bout -18 deg.C, and returned from a suction port 33 into the cooler 22. On the other hand, chilled gas fed from a discharge port 27 into a cold storage chamber 6 through a chilled gas duct 25 respectively cools the chamber 5 and a vegetable chamber 7 to about 1 to 10 deg.C, is returned to the cooler 22 through a return air duct. Chilled gas regulated at its temperature by a damper 31 to be opened and closed by a thermostat 30 through a chilled gas duct 26 is introduced from a discharge port 28 into a first intermediate temperature chamber 8 to cool first and second intermediate temperature chambers 8, 9 to about 10 to 15 deg.C, and returned to the cooler 22 through a return air duct 32.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure a steady cabinet interior temperature control by disposing a screen adjacent to the side of a flap and a cold air discharge opening respectively directed to the upper and lower parts of the refrigerated compartment from the side of the screen and above the lower end of it so as to prevent the condensation or icing on or near to the flap. CONSTITUTION:A control panel 15 houses in it a damper thermostat 18 comprising a flap 16 and an arm 17. Cold air is routed from the refrigerated compartment through a duct 19, and on to the upper part of the refrigerated compartment through a cold air inlet 20 out of an outlet 21 and also to the lower part of the refrigerated compartment from an outlet 22 through a discharge duct 23 in the control panel. A screen 24 is positioned such that its lower end is located below any of the outlets 21, 22. By this constitution, if a moist load is stored in the refrigerated compartment under the low outside temperature which tends to cause the flap 16 to fully close, the warm air rising from the discharge air duct 23 to the outlet 22 is blocked its convection near to the flap by the screen 24. It instead circulates by convection to the outlet 21, resulting in little chance of condensation or icing near the flap.

SOLUTION: The operation of a compressor and a fan 4 is controlled by a refrigerating chamber temperature sensor 14 and the switching of a temperature in a freezing chamber 1 is effected by increasing and decreasing the opening area of inlet port of a refrigerating chamber returning duct 17 by a shutter 18 whereby respective chambers are retained at a desired temperature with an inexpensive specification without employing any temperature sensor for the freezing chamber or any damper thermostat for the refrigerating chamber.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To shorten a time required for a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber to be restored to prescribed temperatures after a power failure, by stopping electrification of a blower fan for a time set beforehand in the case when a condenser temperature sensor detects an upper-limit set temperature or above after a prescribed time passes after a power supply is made. CONSTITUTION: In the case when both of temperatures detected by a room temperature sensor 14 and a freezing chamber temperature sensor 9 are set values or above immediately after the start of operations of a compressor 4 and a blower fan 7, it is judged whether or not a temperature detected by a condenser temperature sensor 23 is an upper-limit set value or above after a prescribed time passes. While an ordinary control routine is executed as it is when the detected temperature is below the upper-limit set value, electrification of the blower fan 7 is stopped when the detected temperature is the upper- limit set value or above, and the electrification of the blower fan 7 is restarted after a time set beforehand passes. At the time of a power failure, according to this constitution, a time required for a freezing chamber and a refrigerating chamber to be restored to prescribed temperatures after the electrification is restarted, and thereby the effect on stored foodstuff can be reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable sure release of ice being made, without cracking it, by a method wherein a heater provided at the bottom of an ice making tray is made to generate a heat when ice making is completed, and after the interface of the ice and the ice making tray is melted, the ice making tray is rotated to release the ice. CONSTITUTION:When water is put in a supply water tank 11 and setting is made, a proper quantity of water is supplied from the supply water tank 11 to an ice making tray 16 through a supply water hose 12 and ice making is started. When a sensor 5 detects that the temperature of completion of the ice making is reached, a heater 18 is electrified to generate a heat. When the sensor 5 detects a rise to a prescribed temperature, the electrification of the heater 18 is canceled, the ice making tray 16 is rotated at an angle of 360 deg. by a driving device 19 and ice is released. Thereby the ice can be released without giving a twist to the ice making tray 16.
