Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thermal insulating material from entering an air passage by a method wherein a refrigeration chamber torturing air passage for returning cold air sent to a storing chamber back to a cooler and a vegetable chamber discharging air passage for feeding cold air to a vegetable chamber are integrally assembled by a cover of the cooler. SOLUTION: Cold air cooled by a cooler 10 is partially sent by a blower from a freezing chamber discharging port into a freezing chamber, cools the inner area of the chamber, thereafter the air returns back from the freezing chamber suction port to the cooler 10. In addition, residual cold air passes through the storing chamber discharging air passage and is sent to the refrigeration chamber, cools the inner area of the chamber, thereafter returns back to the cooler 100 through a refrigeration chamber returning air passage 32 integrally assembled with the cover of the cooler. Further, the cold air branched at the midway part of the refrigeration chamber returning air passage and sent to the vegetable chamber through the vegetable chamber discharging air passage 33 integrally assembled to the cover 29 of the cooler cools the chamber, thereafter returns to he cooler 10 through the vegetable chamber returning air passage. In this way, since the air passage 33 and the air passage 32 are integrally assmbled by the cover 29, it is possible to prevent a thermal insulating material from entering the device.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a highly durable and reliable refrigerator in which liquid compression does not occur, by a method wherein two or more accumulators are provided and the open end of an inlet pipe of the accumulator on the downstream side of a refrigerant flow path is located at a higher elevation than the open end of an outlet pipe of the accumulator on the upstream side of the refrigerant flow path. CONSTITUTION: An accumulator 7 on the upstream side of a refrigerant flow path and an accumulator 8 on the downstream side of the refrigerant flow path are provided to completely gasify liquid refrigerant that remains un-evaporated at an evaporator 4, and connected by a piping. An open end 10 of the inlet pipe of the accumulator 8 on the downstream side of the refrigerant path is located at a higher elevation than an open end 9 of the outlet pipe of an accumulator 7 on the upstream side of the refrigerant flow path. Therefore, the liquid refrigerant is restrained from flowing into a piping between the accumulator 8 and a compressor 1 during defrosting operation and returns to the compressor 1 after it turns to gas refrigerant completely by the abrupt expansion in the accumulator 8 at the start-up time of the compressor 1. As a result, troubles of compressing parts such as a cylinder due to liquid compression can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a food storage cabinet capable of changing over a middle temperature keeping function and a cooling function by forming first, second and third storage chambers of heat insulating boxes, and providing a controller for switching a reference temperature range of each storage chamber to the middle temperature and the cooling, and further providing an operating member. CONSTITUTION:A food storage cabinet body 1 comprises a first storage chamber 8 defined upward of a partition wall 7, a second chamber 9 formed between the first storage chamber and a second partition plate 6, and a third storage chamber 10 formed downward. Air cooled by a cooler 19 is circulated by a fan 20 to cool the first storage chamber 8 through a discharge air passsage 22 and is returned to the cooler 19 through a return air passage 24. Further, the air cools the second storage chamber 9 and the third storage chamber 10 through the discharge air passage 23 and is returned to the cooler 19 through the return air passage 25. On the contrary, a thermostat 21 is set to the middle temperature by a thermo-dial 26 to control a compressor 18 and a fan 20, whereby the interiors of the storage chambers 8, 9, 10 are kept at the middle temperature and at adequate humidity for grains. Thus, food can be stored over a long time and oxidization, humidity absorption, and deterioration of state can be prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain the temperature in a containing case uniform even if the cover of the case of a refrigerator is abolished by moving the case longitudinally upon switching of a drawer type cover, providing a heat insulator at this side from the center of the bottom of the case, and forming the cover covering the insulator. CONSTITUTION:A containing case 27 has a case 28 opened at its upper surface, and a heat insulator 29 at this side part from the center of the bottom of the case 28, and a cover 30 so provided as to cover the insulator 29. Thus, even if the operating time of a compressor 9 is increased in summer and thermal influence from a condensing pipe 12 is increased, this side from the center of the bottom of the case 27 which is easily affected by the thermal influence can be insulated. As a result, contained food itself is not heated, but food temperature in the case 27 can be maintained uniformly.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To restrict any noise produced from a fan in a freezing refrigerator equipped with a cold air circulation fan for forcedly circulating cold air cooled by a compressor by setting static pressure applied on the fan to be a predeter mined value or lower without being affected by the opening and closing of a damper device. CONSTITUTION:Control means 11 includes a microcomputer and is comprised of various electronic circuits such as compressor driving means 11a, revolution control means 11b, and opening/closing means 11c and the like. The control means 11 incorporates signals from refrigerator chamber temperature detector means 10, and fresh air temperature detector means 12 to control power supply to the compressor 4, the fan 6, and a damper device 8. Accordingly, any noise is restricted to a predetermined level or lower by changing the revolutions of the fan 6 correspondingly to a resistance change of a cold air circulation air passage.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of clogging resultant from dew drops built up on a cooler by starting defrosting control when an estimated operation time of a compressor reaches a setting time or when the condition that the difference between the temperature of a refrigerated chamber and the temperature of the cooler exceeds the setting temperature continuous for a specified time. CONSTITUTION:When a control means 18 carries out an arithmetic operation about an estimated operation time T of a compressor 4 during the drive of a refrigerator, and this estimated operation time exceeds a setting time (for example, 8 hours), defrosting operation is adapted to start. When the temperature of a cooler detected by a defrost end detection means 10 exceeds a setting temperature, the defrosting operation is adapted to end. On the other hand, an estimated operation time is less than the setting time, the temperature of open air is detected with an open air temperature detection means 16. When the open air temperature exceeds the setting temperature, the temperature of a refrigerated chamber is detected with a refrigerated chamber temperature detection means 8 while the temperature of a cooler is detected with a cooler temperature detection means 17 respectively. When the cooler temperature which is lower than the temperature of the refrigerated chamber by the setting temperature, continues over the specified time, defrosting operation is started.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of temperature control and obtain a thermostat with a low cost by a method wherein a plurality of slit holes are provided on the side wall of a thermostat housing box while the temperature detecting part of the thermostat is constituted so as to be movable to change the amount of inflow cold air into the temperature detecting part of the thermostat through the slit holes. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature detecting part 13 of a thermostat 10 is positioned by an arm 17 on a slit hole 14b, the inflow of cold air for the temperature detecting part 13 is restrained, the detection of the temperature detecting part 13 is dulled, the cooling operation of a compressor 11 becomes long or so-called operating rate of the compressor 11 is increased and a freezing chamber is cooled strongly. When the temperature detecting part 13 of the thermostat 10 is positioned on the slit hole 14, the detection of the temperature detecting part 13 is sharpened, the operating rate of the compressor 11 is reduced and the freezing chamber is cooled weakly. Further, when the temperature detecting part 13 is positioned on the slit hole 14a, an intermediate temperature between strong refrigeration and weak refrigeration may be set. It is not necessary to have exclusive thermostats in each kind of machines and a predetermined temperature of the freezing chamber may be secured.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To regulate the temperature of each freezing chamber to be an adequate temperature by providing cold air return ducts for No.2 and No.3 freezing chambers, that pass through the inside of No.2 partition wall, a temperature control device located in the rear part of No.1 freezing chamber, and the inside of No.1 partition wall. CONSTITUTION:Cold air discharged to No.1 freezing chamber 3 through a dumper thermostat 14b is returned to a refrigerating device 8 through a cold air return duct A2a. Cold air discharged to No.2 freezing chamber 5 through a dumper thermostat 14a is distributed to No.2 and No.3 freezing chambers 5 and 7 through a convection port 6a on a partition wall 6, and then returned to the refrigerating device 8 through a cold air return duct B16 in No.2 partition wall 4, a cold air return duct C17 in a temperature control device 13, and a cold air return duct D18 in No.1 partition wall. Thus, by providing the cold air return ducts B16, C17, and D18 that pass through No.2 partition wall 4, the temperature control device 13, and No.1 partition wall 2, the returning cold air from No.2 and No.3 freezing chambers returns to the refrigerating device 8 without passing through No.1 freezing chamber. Therefore, even when No.1 or No.2 freezing chamber is assigned to a low temperature compartment, each compartment can be regulated to an adequate temperature without generating of irregular temperature zones and over-cooling.
