Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a biaxially stretched bottle made of polyester excellent in heat resistance, transparency and ultraviolet barrier properties, reduced in the adsorption quantity of a taste component and an aroma component and possible to re-fill. CONSTITUTION:A biaxially stretched bottle made of polyester possible to re-fill is formed from 95-60 pts.wt. of polyethylene terephthalate [A] and 40-50 pts.wt. of polyethylene naphthalate (the sum total of [A] and [B]; 100 pts.wt.) and characterized by that stretching magnification is 12 times or less and the thickness of a body part is 600-900mum. The body part of the bottle has a haize value of 5% or less and the ultraviolet transmissivity thereof is pref. 60% or less and the methanol adsorption quantity thereof is pref. 1800ppm and the p-xylene adsorption quantity thereof is pref. 120ppm or less.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold excellent transparncy and to prevent deformation caused by filling a heated drink from occurring by making degree of crystallinity of a trunk part measured by means of X-rays analysis at a specified range and making degree of orientation of non-crystallized part of the trunk part measured by using a fluorescence photometer at a specified value or smaller. SOLUTION: Degree of crystallinity of a trunk part of a bottle measured by means of X-rays analysis is made in a range of 25-35%, pref. 26-32%. In addition, degree of orientation of non-crystallized part of the trunk part measured by using a fluorescence photometer is made to be at most 0.14, pref. in a range of 0.10-0.12. When each characteristic exists in this range, enough heat resistance can be ensured on the trunk part of the bottle. At the same time, even when a heated drink, etc., are filled into the bottle, as ratios of deformation, expansion and shrinkage are small, deformation of the trunk part of the bottle can be kept small. In addition, a bottle with excellent transparency can be obtd.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a neck part and a bottom part of a bottle to be small when the filled contents are heated and sterilized by forming a self-standing bottle of the polyester composition in which the prescribed quantity of polyester and polyester elastomer are blended. SOLUTION: In manufacturing a bottle in which carbonated beverage is filled and heating and sterilization is performed, the polyester composition formed of 97-99.99wt.% polyester and 0.01-3wt.% polyester elastomer is used. When the bottle 1 is tested in a hot bath in which the bottle is immersed in the hot bath of 70 deg.C for one hour under the condition that the beverage with carbon dioxide of 2.5 gas volume at 23 deg.C is filled and the bottle is sealed, the condition that the dimensional change in the height direction of the bottle is =10 deg..

CONSTITUTION: A bottle 1 is composed of a polyester compsn. consisting of 97-99.99wt.% of polyester and 0.01-3wt.% of rosin or a derivative thereof and, when a hot bath test immersing the bottle filled with carbonated beverage of 2.5 gas vol. at 23 deg.C in a hot bath of 70 deg.C in a hermetically sealed state is performed, the bottle satisfies conditions such that the dimensional change rate in the height direction of the bottle filled with a carbonated beverage before and after the hot bath test is 5% or less and the dimensional change rate in the body diameter direction thereof is 5% or less and the falling angle of the bottle after the hot bath test is 10 deg. or more.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a foldable hollow vessel having an excellent pressure resistance strength by orientation blow molding in a mold having a bellows like cavity. CONSTITUTION: A polyester hollow vessel has a port 1 and a bellows like body 3 is such a manner that the thickness of the body 3 preferably has a range of 70 to 200μm or preferably 90 to 120μm. If the thickness of the body has the range, it has excellent flavor barrier properties, and even if the vessel is repeatedly used and folded, the decrease in the strength of the vessel is small. When the vessel is molded by using the mold having a bellows like cavity by a blow molding method or preferably a biaxial drawing blow molding method, it is desired that the drawing magnification of the body is 10 times or more or preferably 12 to 20 times, and the longitudinal drawing magnification is twice to four times, and the lateral drawing magnification is preferably 2.5 to 6 times.
