Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound in high selectivity, in high yield and readily, by reacting a cyclohexene with an oxygen-containing gas by using a specific catalyst in the presence of a secondary alcohol. CONSTITUTION:A cyclohexene is reacted with an oxygen-containing gas by using a compound shown by the formula [R , R and R , R are H, lower alkyl, aryl or -CX2 (X is halogen); R and R are H, lower alkyl, -COOR (R is H or lower alkyl) or -CX3 or R -R may be the same or mutually different] as a catalyst in the presence of a secondary alcohol such as isopropyl alcohol, further preferably in the presence of an N-containing heterocyclic compound as a promoter preferably under 0.2-5.0kg/cm oxygen pressure at 50-150 deg.C to give the aimed compound. The amount of the catalyst used, for example, is preferably 5-20mol basacetylacetonatocobalt complex based on 1mol cylochexene.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To profitably obtain the subject compound useful for various kinds of uses such as an intermediate for synthesizing medicines, agricultural chemicals or perfumes, a raw material for polyamides, and surfactants by using inexpensive and safe compounds. SOLUTION: This method for producing a diamine comprises reacting a nitroolefin of formula I (R is H, an alkyl, etc.; R , R are each H, an alkyl, etc.) with an 0-alkyl hydroxylamine of the formula: R ONH2 (R is H, an alkyl, etc.) as starting materials at a reaction temperature for a reaction time, and subsequently subjecting the obtained compound of formula II to a hydrogenation method such as a catalytic hydrogenation reaction method using a heterogeneous catalyst such as Pd-adhered activated carbon as a catalyst in an alcohol as a solvent to produce the 1,2-diamine of formula III. The reaction temperature and the reaction time are suitably selected in response to the substrate of the compound of formula I, but the reaction temperature is usually preferably 0-50 deg.C.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain the subject catalyst comprising a specific transition metal compound and a specific ionic compound or a specific organoboron compound and capable of giving a polylactone high in the mol.wt. and narrow in the mol.wt. distribution under a mild condition by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION: A catalyst for polymerizing a lactone comprises (A) a transition metal compound of the formula (M is the group IVB transition metal atom in the periodic table; Cp , Cp are a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton; X , X are H, a halogen, etc.,) (e.g. dicyclopentadienyl zirconium dimethyl), and (B) an ionic compound of formula: Y Z (Y is a proton-having quaternary ammonium cation of formula: HN R R R (R -R are an alkyl, an aryl), a metal cation, etc.; Z is boron anion, ClO4 , etc.,] or an organic boron compound of formula: B(C6 Fn H5-n )3 (n is 0-5). The component B is preferably B(C6 F5 )3 , etc. On the polymerization, the component A is preferably used in an amount of 0.05-0.0002 mole per mole of the lactone monomer. The molar ratio of the components A:B is preferably 1:5 to 5:1.

An optically active chromene oxide having inverted absolute steric configuration can be produced by carrying out the reaction in the presence of a nitrogen-containing compound. The chromene compound is useful as an intermediate for an agent for the treatment of hypertension or asthma.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To safely and simply produce the subject compound in high efficiency by oxidizing a cyclic ketone having an alkoxy group on a carbon at alpha-position in the presence of a metal compound and an aldehyde using a safe and inexpensive oxygen as an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:A cyclic ketone having an alkoxy group on a carbon at alphaposition is reacted with oxygen in the presence of a compound of a metal such as nickel or cobalt and an aldehyde compound to afford the objective acetal lactone. The acetal lactone is further treated with an alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst to give the objective acetal carboxylic acid. As the cyclic ketone, a ketone compound of formula I (R is an alkyl or a cycloalkyl; R to R each is H, a halogen, an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, an aryl, nitro, cyano, etc.) is preferably used. As the metal compound, a metal compound selected from complexes of nickel, cobalt, manganese, iron, copper and vanadium, respectively having 1,3-diketone compound as a ligand is preferably used. The compound of formula II and formula III (R and R each is an alkyl or a cycloalkyl) are obtained by this reaction.

CONSTITUTION:Samarium iodide expressed by the formula SmI2 is reacted with an oxime compound expressed by formula I (R to R are H, alkyl or aryl; R and R or R and R may mutually be bonded to form a ring) in the presence of an alcohol expressed by the ROH (R is hydrocarbon) to afford an amino group-containing compound expressed by formula II, which is then made to react, with an acyl halide compound expressed by the formula R X (R is acyl; X is halogen) to provide an amino group-containing compound expressed by formula III. N-(D)-Alanyl-(L)-proline methyl ester, N-(D)-alanyl-(L)- alanylpiperidinoamide, etc., are obtained by this method.
