Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube manufacturing method by which a high-quality phosphor surface can be formed. SOLUTION: A transmittance measuring device 2 measures the transmittance of an aperture grill 9 conveyed by a conveyor belt 8, at a plurality of measuring points arranged in a matrix. A measurement control device 5 calculates the inherent transmittance of the aperture grill 9 using the transmittance at the plurality of measuring points and in accordance with weighting that takes into account the degree of influence of each measuring point on picture quality. An exposure control device 7 calculates the amount of exposure in accordance with the inherent transmittance of the aperture grill 9. An exposure unit 3 performs exposure that matches the calculated amount of exposure, forming a phosphor surface on the inner surface of a panel 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of unevenness of color by discharging the curing agent from a discharging nozzle in nearly parallel with the inner surface of a panel. CONSTITUTION: A discharging nozzle 10 as a curing agent coating device is formed into the L-shape, and the curing agent is discharged in nearly parallel with the inner surface of a panel 8. The inner diameter of the discharging nozzle 10 is set at the predetermined size width than that of the conventional one. Consequently, when the tannic acid solution as the curing agent is supplied through a hose 12 connected to the nozzle 10, the tannic acid solution is discharged from the tip of the nozzle 10 in nearly parallel with the inner surface of the panel 8. The tannic acid solution discharged from the nozzle 10 is jetted in parallel, and dropped by the self-weight, but it is dispersed in the process, and width of the curing agent at the time when the curing agent is adhered to the inner surface of the panel, namely, the initial adhesion width is widened. Consequently, the initial adhesion area is widened to 80-300cm , and unevenness of the hardening speed is reduced.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce a difference between chromaticity of a central part on an effective image screen and chromaticity of a peripheral part, and reduce a dispersion range of chromaticity by adjusting a width balance of pseudo- phosphors of three colors according to a light emitting characteristic of a phosphor. CONSTITUTION:After a black stripe 10 is formed, phosphors of respective colors are applied, and fluorescebt screens are manufactured, and an aluminium evaporation film 9 is formed to increase light emitting efficiency of the phosphors of the respective colors, and photosensitive resin 2 used to apply the phosphors and an intermediate film applied before forming the aluminium evaporation film 9 are decomposed, so that fluorescent screens R, G and B are completed. Since patterns of the fluorescent screens R, G and B of three colors are very small, each one of them becomes a light emitting color point to the naked eye, so that light emitting color lines cannot be discriminated, and are recognized as a mixed color of the three colors. Thereby, when a rate of a beam current from an exposure light source 8 to stimulate the phosphors of the three colors is changed, light emission recognizable as various colors can be obtained.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode-ray tube having excellent color characteristics by plotting, as an exposure data, a mark corresponding to an error of light transmissibility from its design value on a panel part inside surface by exposure so as to decide an exposure rate by the mark. SOLUTION: Green phosphoric stripes are formed on the internal surface of a face part 8 in which black stripes are formed, slurry formed by mixing green phosphoric body and light sensing agent tougher is spread on the internal surface of a panel part 7 so as to form a mixture film by removing moisture and a color selection mechanism used as a mask is installed thereon. When the mark is detected by a detection means via the color selection mechanism fitted to the panel part 7, ultraviolet rays radiated from an ultraviolet rays lamp optically exposed the mixture film in a stripe state and prints the mixture film on the internal surface of the face part 8 in the stripe state. Green phosphoric body stripes are formed adjacently to a range where no carbon stripe is formed on the internal surface of the face part 8. And phosphoric stripes are formed in order of blue and red and in the same work process.

CONSTITUTION:Before a drying process in which a middle film material 4 is formed in a middle film, the middle film material 4 which is previously applied in a preset region, for example, an useless screen part such as a panel shirt 5 and so on, is dried at a temperature below the film forming temperature. Drying of the middle film material 4 is promoted, and cracks 7 are generated in the middle film material 4 which is in semi-dry state by this promotion. Then, when the middle film material 4 is formed into a middle film in the next drying process (and water treatment process), a kind of gas escaping parts are constructed by the cracks 7, and when the middle film is thermally decomposed and removed in the baking process carried out thereafter, since gas escapes to the outside through the gas escaping parts, floating and separation of a metal back layer 8 can not be generated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the splashes of liquid chemicals sticking to a panel face by including splashing preventive plates which exist between the panel and the base of a liquid chemical tank and prevent the bouncing back of the liquid chemicals from the liquid chemical tank by developing on the circumference of the panel. SOLUTION: The splashing preventive plates are arranged between the roller conveyors on the circumference of the panel 20 by developing to enclose the spacings between the roller conveyors. The liquid chemicals flowing along the inner flanks of the panel 20 fall onto the ends 3 of the first splashing preventive plate 1a and second splashing preventive plate 2b projecting to the inner side of the panel 20 and are once accepted by the splashing preventive plates 2a, 2b. The liquid chemicals fall into the liquid chemical tank after flowing on these plates. The liquid chemicals falling onto the bottom plate 32 of the liquid chemical tank by colliding against the inside surface of the panel 20 are bounced back by the bottom plate 32 and side plates 31 of the liquid chemical tank by their force, by which the splashes are formed. Since the splashing preventive plates 2a, 2b close the spacings between the roller conveyors on the circumference of the panel 20, the adhesion of the liquid chemicals at the panel face 21 is prevented.

SOLUTION: A three-color phosphor is formed by repeating the formation of a phosphor three times, wherein a phosphor slurry, including at least a phosphor, a binder, light cross-linking material, and water, is applied to the inner surface of a cathode-ray tube panel, and then the phosphor slurry is exposed and developed. At that time, about the phosphor slurry of a color to be formed at first, adjustment for reducing the contrast of a boundary line, resulting from drying the slurry in a process of applying, is performed by adjusting a ratio and/or viscosity of the phosphor slurry to the binder of the phosphor, instead of by mixing a surface active agent.
