    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved control system for semiactive suspension, for easily adaptable to the necessity and requirement of a user (a vehicle manufacture), and quickly responding to a specific operating condition. SOLUTION: A vehicle is equipped with at least one semiactive suspension 5 arranged between a vehicle body and a wheel, and having an attenuation coefficient variable by a method controlled by an actuator controlled by a control device 18. The device 18 is equipped with: an acceleration measuring sensor 15 for producing the acceleration signal of a vehicle, a potentiometer 16 for producing a suspension position signal, a signal adjusting unit 21 for operating vehicle and attenuation speeds, a fuzzy control unit 23 for operating the successive position of the actuator based on the vehicle and attenuation speeds, and a drive unit 21 for producing a control signal S1 for the actuator.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To greatly reduce a storage area for storing belonging relation functions from the IF portion of a fuzzy rule and the calculation operation of a THEN portion by providing a conversion block in an input part and providing at least one memory block for storing information relating to the IF conditions of an IF-THEN rule set in the conversion block. CONSTITUTION: The conversion block 5 for forming this input part of an electronic controller operated in a fuzzy logic form is provided with the memory block 6 and the memory block 6 stores data relating to the belonging relation functions relating to the IF portion of the fuzzy rule. The memory block 6 is divided into an imaging area 7 and an activating area 8. The imaging area 7 is provided with the set of the belonging relation functions relating only to the IF conditions in the IF-THEN rule set and the activating area 8 is provided with the data for relating the respective logic variables of a fuzzy type relating to a control process to the corresponding ones of the belonging relating functions in the set.

In particular, the nonvolatile memory is manufactured according to an architecture that envisages the use of carbon nanotubes as electrical connectors and DNA strands as physical means on which to write the information.     Abstract: An encryption process which is both secure and practical, does not require modular arithmetic, and therefore is very fast, and may be used for realizing a digital signature process, comprises the following steps: choosing preliminarily at least a private key and a set of permutable functions defined on a certain phase space for encrypting/decrypting messages, choosing a code for encoding messages to be sent in the form of a number belonging to the phase space, and wherein the set of permutable functions is composed of chaotic maps generated by a composite function of a first function, a second function and the inverse of the first function, the private key is defined by using the second function. It is possible to implement public-key encryption processes and related digital signature processes using chaotic maps by a computer program.

    Abstract: A vehicle comprises at least one semiactive suspension (5) arranged between a vehicle body (2) and a wheel (4) and having a damping coefficient that can be varied in a controlled way by an actuator (14) governed by a control device (18). The control device comprises an accelerometric sensor (15) generating a vehicle body acceleration signal; a potentiometer (16) generating a suspension position signal; a signal conditioning unit (21) for the calculation of the vehicle body speed and the damping speed; a fuzzy control unit (23) which calculates the subsequent position of the actuator on the basis of the vehicle body speed and of the damping speed; and a driving unit (21) which generates a control signal (S1) for the actuator.
