    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify circuit specifications, improve conversion efficiency by connecting a power transistor between first and second terminals of a second electronic switch, also providing a control circuit which drives the transistor by detecting a potential difference between the first and second terminals. SOLUTION: A circuit 30 is provided with a first electronic switch 1 connecting an inductor L to DC input voltage Vin, and a second electronic switch 2 connecting the inductor L to an output terminal OUT. This second electronic switch 2 is provided with a first terminal 3 which is connected to the inductor L, and a second terminal 4 connected to the output terminal OUT, and a power transistor 7 having a principal conductive path is connected between these first and second terminals 3, 4. A potential difference between the first and second terminals 3, 4 of the second electronic switch 2 is detected, so as to have the transistor 7 driven by a control circuit 5.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of even though images can be processed simultaneously with a microarray in parallel in a microarray technique, the processing speed of an analytical technique using a digital microprocessor is limited and the efficiency of the technique is disturbed. SOLUTION: The system, by which an image containing the matrix of spots, such as the images or the like of a hybridized DNA microarrays after hybridization has been conducted, is provided. The system is provided with a circuit 20 which processes an image signal corresponding to the images. The circuit is constituted on the basis of the architecture of a cellular neural network(CNN) for the parallel analog processing of the image signal. The circuit can be related to a sensor 10 acquiring the images, and it can be integrated with a single monolithic component, on which a VLSI CMOS technique is mounted.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a burst mode function and, at the same time, to reduce overshooting by modulating the turning-off period of a power switch by using a combinatory function of operating parameters until a limit output voltage condition is reached when mode transition is made from a self-exciting oscillation mode to a fixed oscillator frequency mode. SOLUTION: A primary control loop controls the output voltage Vout of a flyback converter by controlling the voltage Vcs of the self-feeding power of a control circuit by means of an error amplifier Error Amp and a secondary control loop directly controls the output voltage Vout by optically coupling the amplifier Error Amp and control circuit to a Vcomp pin. Then the turning- off period of a power switch is continued until the energy stored in a transformer during the turning-on period of the power switch is completely transferred to an output circuit by operating a bistable circuit LATCH in accordance with the voltage Vcomp compensation capacitor Ccomp through a comparator Ccomp.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic circuit having structural and mechanical features capable of controlling the motion of a multi-actuator electromechanical system. SOLUTION: This electronic circuit relates to a new method for controlling the movement of a multi-architecture electromechanical system having the matrix of locally connected analog sells. Each cell expresses the execution configuration of the hardware of the model of a fuzzy inference rule. It is desired that the model generates and controls the typical reaction diffusion mechanism of autonomous waves by using a fuzzy neural network, and is constituted as a fuzzy circuit architecture to be mounted in the form of an integrated circuit using a VLSICMOS technique. In this fuzzy neural network, a functional relation capable of duplexing a simultaneous reaction diffusion equation is defined, and the state variables of plural cells are processed in a language format by duplexing the simultaneous equation, and the kinetics of a vibration type is applied by two sets of fuzzy rules to be imposed on each cell, and the two dynamic processes are provided with different kinematical characteristics simultaneously.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for authentication and electronic signature of an enquiry type and a response type which have an improved security level by making a step generating a chaotic signal included in a step generating authentication and electronic signature signals. SOLUTION: A check terminal 2 checks identification data including a PIN (personal identification number) with respect to a card 1. Thereafter, the terminal 2 generates a signal or initial data X0 via a random value generating circuit 17 and moreover generates development time P. The terminal 2 transmits the initial data X0 and the signal of the development time to both of the card 1 and the chaotic generator of its own. The card 1 transfers the data and the signal to the chaotic generator 23 of its own and moreover calculates an authentication code RES' based on a secret key K' stored in a position 24 to transmit it to the terminal 2. The terminal 2 calculates a comparision code RES by using the secret key K stored in a position 29 to compare the RES with the authentication code RES' of the card 1.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-up continuous mode DC-DC converter with integrated fuzzy logic current control. SOLUTION: A step-up continuous mode DC-DC converter 1 with integrated current control includes comparators 3 and 6 which compare voltage signals outputted by the converter 1 with reference signals in order to generate a deviation signal and a circuit which generates a compensation ramp suitable for generating a ramp signal 7 added to a signal proportional to a current ramp flowing through the converter 1. A signal outputted from the comparator 3 and a signal obtained by the addition of the ramp signal 7 are supplied to the next comparator 6 whose output is transmitted to a means together with an oscillator signal for driving a power transistor in the converter 1. The converter 1 further includes a fuzzy logic control means 11 provided between the comparator 3 and the next comparator 6. The fuzzy logic control means 11 receives the deviation signal outputted by the comparator 3 as an input and outputs a signal which depends upon the hourly change of the deviation signal and is inputted to the next comparator 6.
