    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pile fabric having soft feeling and excellent in flattening resistance, coverage of pile and color development of printing and the like by composing a pile from constituting fibers including a specific fiber having 9 shaped cross section. SOLUTION: The pile fabric is consisting of polyester fiber of 1.5-6 de preferably 2-3.5 de of monofilament fineness comprising at least 20 wt.%. of polyethyleneterephthalate containing at least 0.01 wt.%. of delustering agent such as titanium oxide and the like, having 9 shaped cross section having lengthwise/sidewise ratio of the cross section of 0.5-3.5 preferably 0.8-2.5 and at least 20 wt.%. of a polyester fiber having circle cross section. The prescribed pile fabric composing fiber is ground dyed in any one of the cotton dyeing, yarn dyeing, fabric dyeing in liquid and color printing, followed by discharge printing, color printing after discharge printing or color printing with a discharge printing agent.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soft and spun-toned pile fabric excellent in pile surface covering effect and resistance to pile falling, by using filament yarns as pile yarns which are produced by combining and interlacing two kinds of polyester filaments differing in birefringence from each other followed by false-twist texturing. SOLUTION: Polyester filaments A and B with birefringence of 110 to 150×10 and 20 to 50×10 , respectively, each having a single fiber fineness of 0.5-6 denier, are arranged in parallel with each other in a weight ratio of (35:65) to (65:35) and then interlaced with each other through an interlacing nozzle. The resultant filament yarn is subjected to false-twist texturing process to produce a processed yarn having the following characteristics: the number of false-twists satisfies the relationship: 15,000 =10%. Using the above processed yarn as pile yarn, the objective pile fabric 20-120 counts/cm in pile density is obtained.

SOLUTION: This polyester pile fabric is so designed that the pile portion provided with colored print includes >=20 wt.% of fiber A with S-shaped section containing >=1.5 wt.% of a delustering agent, >=20 wt.% of fiber B with S-shaped section containing =20 wt.% of cationic dye-dyeable polyester fiber C; wherein it is preferable that the longitudinal/ transverse length ratio a/b for the fiber with S-shaped cross section is 0.5-3.5, and the single fiber fineness of the pile portion constituent fibers is 1.5-6 denier.
