    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having excellent alkali resistance and toughness, by alternately passing a precursor fiber through a hot oxidizing gas atmosphere containing toxic gas and an inert gas atmosphere and subjecting the fiber to continuous flame-resisting treatment. CONSTITUTION:A pair of oppositely placed transfer roller groups 3a, 3b, 3c and 4a, 4b, 4c are enclosed in an inert gas atmosphere (e.g. nitrogen, argon, etc.) in a flame-resisting treatment furnace 2 and are rotated to introduce a precursor fiber 1 into the above inert gas atmosphere system 6. The precursor fiber 1 is transferred to a hot oxidizing gas atmosphere 5 containing a toxic gas component (preferably a sulfur-containing gas) and again introduced into the above inert gas atmosphere 6. The treatment processes are alternately repeated to effect continuous flame-resisting treatment and obtain the objective flame resistance fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To neutralize yarn and to prevent deterioration in yarn qualities and reduction in handleability, by setting an ionic air blower in the vicinity of the lower part of a spinneret of melt spinning and carrying out melt spinning while blowing specific ionic air on spun yarn from the blower. CONSTITUTION:A molten raw material consisting of a polymer such as polyester, polyamide, etc., is spun from a spinneret 3 for melt spinning. Then, ionic air having polarity opposite to charge polarity of yarn 4 is friction charge between the spinneret 3 and the spun yarn 4 is blown on the spun yarn 4 from an ionic air blower 8 set in the vicinity of the spinneret, the yarn 4 is neutralized and taken up by an ejector, etc., so that deterioration in yarn qualities and reduction in handleability of yarn in the following processes resulting from friction charge between the yarn in spinning and the spinneret are prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A spinning block provided with a mechanism to attach and to remove a spinning pack from the bottom, wherein a member to set the spinning pack is detachably put in a heating box so that the whole channels from a melter to the spinning pack are easily disjointed and cleaned. CONSTITUTION:A spinning block consists of the heating box 1 having the open part 5 at the bottom, and space connected to the open part 5 in the interior, the detachable covers 14 and 15 to close the top of the space of the heating box 1, the spinning pack setting member 10 adjoining to the inner wall of the heating box 1, supported detachably to the upper part, having a dent part at the bottom, the polymer feed means 6 positioned between the spinning pack setting member and the covers 14 and 15, supported detachably on the spinning pack setting member 10, and the spinning pack pressing means inserted from the outside of the heating box 1, reaching the dent part of the pack setting member 10, pressing the spinning pack 12 from side.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a vibration damper of high damping properties and form stability over a wide range of temperatures, by blending a rubber with a specific polymer together with a fibrous and/or flake-like inorganic substance(s). CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a rubber such as butyl rubber, chloro-sulfonated polyethylene rubber, etc. is incorporated with 100-600pts.wt. of a mixture comprising (A) 3-50wt% of a polymeric material of a dynamic modulus of 10 dynes/cm or more at 100 deg.C, having a solubility parameter of 7.5-10.0, e.g. polypropylene, polymethyl methacrylate, etc. and (B) 97-50wt% of a fibrous and/or flake-like inorganic substance(s) such as asbestos, graphite, etc. The resulting composition is subjected to blending operation either in the presence of a common solvent to both the rubber and polymeric material, or at a temperature above the softening point of said polymeric material. EFFECT:Showing excellent vibration damping effect even at high temperature above 80 deg.C.
