Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a highly ink repellent property without implementing fat- insensitizing treatment and to improve printing durability by forming an ink- sticking layer by an electrostatic transfer method on the hydrophilic swelling layer of a lithographic printing plate having the hydrophilic swelling layer on a substrate. SOLUTION: A direct depiction type lithographic printing plate is equipped at least with a hydrophilic swelling layer on a substrate and constituted by forming an ink-sticking layer on the hydrophilic swelling layer by an electrostatic transfer method in which a toner image formed on a photoconductor in an electrophotographic process is transferred by an electrostatic method. A non-printing element part having the hydrophilic swelling layer on a plate surface swells by dampening water supplied from a dampening water supplying apparatus to repel ink. Besides, a printing element part formed by the electrostatic transfer method receives ink to form a printed image by supplying ink to the surface of an offset blanket plate cylinder part or to the surface of a printed body. As dampening water which is used when the lithographic printing plate having the hydrophilic swelling layer depicted by an image forming method is printed, pure water not containing impurities can be used.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart plate inspectability without using a dyeing soln. in a photomechanical process for an original plate with a hydrophilic swellable layer on the substrate by incorporating a dye or its precursor. SOLUTION: This original plate contains a dye or its precursor. A leuco dye may be used as the dye or its precursor. This leuco dye is a colorless or light-colored substance and forms a deep color by contact with an electron accepting substance such as bisphenol A. The dye or its precursor can be allowed to form a color in a photomechanical process, e.g. after or during development. The leuco dye can be allowed to form a color by an acid or a phenolic compd. known as an electron accepting substance, e.g. clayish acid such as acid clay or kaolin or oxalic acid.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable stable printing without using dampening water by using an emulsion ink for a planographic printing plate having a hydrophilic swellable layer in a nonpicture part. SOLUTION: An emulsion ink is used for a printing process using a planographic printing plate having a hydrophilic swellable layer in a nonpicture part. The reason why the emulsion ink is effective is not definitely understood, but it is supposed that the plate has higher ink repelling property than a conventional planographic printing plate which uses an aluminum substrate as an ink repelling layer so that enough ink repelling property is obtd. even when the amt. of water present on the plate is small. Otherwise even when an excess amt. of water is present on the plate, the ink repelling layer can be swollen with the water and the plate has higher water holding property. Thus, ranges of the amts of ink and water on the plate are wide. Thus, by using an emulsion ink for this new planographic printing plate, a printed material of high quality can be stably produced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner composition excellent in low temp. fixing property, capable of obtaining a high quality image having no void, small in concn. nonuniformity, having sufficient fluidity of the toner and free from the falling of an external additive by incorporating an urethane compound and sticking specific fine particles to the surface of the toner as the external additive. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic toner composition composed of at least a binder resin consisting essentially of a polyester resin and a coloring agent, the urethane compound is added and the fine particles 0.005-0.5μm in the average particle diameter of primary particles are stuck to the surface of the toner in the ratio of 2.0-3.0wt.% per the toner composition. In this case, the urethane compound, which is not restricted if it is a compound having urethane bond in the molecule, is prepared by allowing one or more kinds of isocyanate compounds to react with one or more kinds of alcohol compounds. The method for externally adding the fine particle in the toner is particularly not restricted, but the usual homogenizer or Henshel mixer is preferably used.

CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. polycyclohexylene dimethyleneterephthalate type polyester resin comprising at least 80mol%, based on the total repeating units, repeating units each derived by bonding a terephthalic acid residue with a 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol residue is mixed with 0.05-20 pts.wt. polyether amide and/or polyether ester and 0.05-4 pts. wt. organophosphite or phosphonite compound at least one of whose P-O bonds is bonded to a 6-30 C aromatic group [e.g. tetrakis(2,4-di-t-butylphenyl)-4,4'-biphenylene phosphonite]. The obtained resin composition is formed into a lamp reflector base or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject melt moldable resin, having units derived from phenylhydroquinone, units derived from diphenyldicarboxylic acid and units derived from naphthalenedicarboxylic acid and excellent in mechanical and thermal characteristics. The aforementioned resin has 0.4-20dl/g inherent viscosity measured at 0.1g/dl concentration in pentafluorophenol at 60 deg.C and is preferably obtained by respectively using phenylhydroquinone, etc., as a raw material for the units expressed by formula I, methylhydroquinone, etc., as a raw material for the units expressed by formula II, 4,4'-diphenyldicarboxylic acid as a raw material for the units expressed by formula III and 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid as a raw material for the units expressed by formula IV and subjecting the above-mentioned raw materials to deacetylation and polycondensing reaction.
