    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a soft woven fabric having excellent spun-toned touch of feel, stretchability and recoverability, and composed of bulky yarns which are produced by interlacing filament yarns of inelastic polymer as sheath yarns on core yarns consisting of sheath/core type conjugate fibers each composed of elastic polymer as the core component and inelastic polymer as the sheath component. CONSTITUTION: This woven fabric >=2% in lateral stretch rate is obtained by the following process: multifilament yarns Yc consisting of sheath/core type conjugated fibers each composed of elastic polymer as the core component and inelastic polymer as the sheath component are fed in an overfeed condition from a package 1 via a feed roller 3; concurrently, multifilament yarns Ys of inelastic polymer are fed in an overfeed rate greater than that for the filament yarns Yc from another package 2 via a feed roller 4; subsequently, both the multifilament yarns Yc, Ys are imparted with water using a relevant roller 5 and then subjected to turbulent flow jet treatment using a pressurized air nozzle 6 to mutually interlace them, and then wound with a winder 8 into a package, thereby obtaining bulky yarns Y with the sheath yarns Ys interlaced on the core yarns Yc so as to form loops and/or slacks; finally, the bulky yarns Y are subjected to weaving operation.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A conjugated yarn composed of 2 kinds of thermoplastic polymers different in solubility is treated with a solvent to remove the soluble component and form grooves with specific width and detph, thus producing the titled fiber giving woven or knitted fabrics with comfortable creaking touch, elegant luster and good color developing properties. CONSTITUTION:A conjugated yarn composed of 2 kinds of thermoplastic polymers different in solubility, preferbly composed of a copolyester from 1-10mol% of 5-sodiosulfoisophtalic acid and 99-90mol% of ethylene terephthalate as the easy soluble component and of polyethylene terephthalate as the hard soluble component, in which the easy soluble polymer occupies at least two places of 0.2-4 micron size on the outer surface in the fiber cross section, is treated with an alkali to remove the easy soluble parts to form grooves of 0.2-4 micron width and 0.1-1.8 micron depth, thus giving the objective fiber.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a knitted/woven fabric having flexibility and draping touch by such process that specific multifilament yarns are used as core yarns and sheath yarns, respectively, subjected to fluid jet interlacing treatment to form a bulky yarn which is then made into a knitted/woven fabric which, in turn, is treated with a solvent.     Abstract: PURPOSE:A sheath-core conjugated yarn that is composed of 3 kinds of polymers different in solubility in a solvent to one another in a specific arrangement, thus having satisfactory gloss, bulkiness, resilience, elastic friction, dry touch and drapability. CONSTITUTION:The objective filament is composed of polymer A as the sheath 1, polymer B as the core 2 and polymer C as the core 3 and, in the cross section, the core 2 and the core 3 alternately contact with the inside surface of the sheath 1 2 or more times. Their solubility in a solvent is in the order: polymer A > polymer B > polymer C and the sheath 1 and at least a part of the core 2 are dissolved of to give a modified cross-section filament with grooves on its surface.
