Abstract: Process for producing aromatic or heteroaromatic hydroxylamines of the general formula (I) in which R1 is an unsubstituted or substituted aryl radical or an unsubstituted or substituted hetaryl radical from the pyridine or quinoline group, by hydration of nitro compounds of the general formula (II) in which R1 has the above meaning, in the presence of a platinum catalyst on an active carbon carrier or in the presence of a sulphur or selenium-doped palladium catalyst on an active carbon carrier, process in which the reaction is conducted in the presence of a morpholine compound substituted at the nitrogen atom of the general formula (III) in which R2 are alkyl radicals with 1 to 5 carbon atoms and R3 to R10 are hydrogen atoms or alkyl radicals with 1 to 5 carbon atoms.

Abstract: Procedimiento para la obtencion de hidroxilaminas aromáticas o heteroaromáticas de la formula general I, en la que R1 significa un radical arilo sin sustituir o sustituido o un radical hetarilo sustituido o sin sustituir del grupo de las piridinas o quinolinas, por hidrogenacion de nitrocompuestos de la formula general II, en la que R1 tiene el significado arriba indicado, en presencia de un catalizador de platino sobre un soporte de carbon activo, o en presencia de un catalizador de paladio dotado de azufre o selenio sobre un soporte de carbon activo, realizando la reaccion en presencia de un compuesto de morfolina sustituido en el átomo de nitrogeno y que corresponde a la formula general III, donde R2 significa radicales alquilo con 1 hasta 5 átomos de carbono y R3 hasta R10 representanátomos de hidrogeno o radicales alquilo con 1 hasta 5 átomos de carbono.

Abstract: The invention concerns a process for preparing nitrobiphenylene of formula (I) wherein m stands for 1 or 2, R means halogen, R' or OR', R' being a C-organic group which can carry groups which are inert in the reaction conditions, n stands for 0, 1, 2 or 3 and, if n is 2 or 3, the R groups can also be different. According to the invention, a chloronitrobenzene of formula (II) is reacted in the presence of a palladium catalyst and a base in a solvent with a phenyl boric acid (IIIa), one of its alkyl esters of formula (IIIb), R1 meaning C1-C6 alkyl, or one of its anhydrides. The compounds (I) are suitable as initial products for biphenylamines which are in turn intermediate products for fungicidal plant-growth substances.
