Abstract:
A controller has an interface, a buffer memory, a first set of registers for accessing the buffer memory, a second set of registers independent from the first set of registers for accessing the buffer memory, and a control unit for decoding and executing buffer memory access commands received by the interface to access the buffer memory through either the first or second set of registers.
Abstract:
An Ultra-low power voltage detection circuit is implemented in a digital integrated circuit to device to provide a basic timer, programmable timer and programmable low voltage detection (PLVD) using a single connection of the digital integrated circuit device and a passive component(s) external to the digital integrated circuit device. An internal low current source may be enabled so as to discharge an external timing capacitor connected to the output connection, thus eliminating the need for an external resistor. However, timing accuracy may be improved by adding an external discharging resistor and/or charging resistor. The output connection may be configured as a tri-state output and may be driven high to charge and low to discharge the timing capacitor. A voltage reference may be used in determining a voltage trip point for timing and low voltage detection purposes. Temperature may be determined from either a trip voltage compared to a known voltage determined at a known temperature, or a current value of the current source compared to a known current value determined at a known temperature, times a constant.
Abstract:
A CAN module comprises a buffer memory comprising a data and address input and a plurality of addressable buffers, a data receive register being coupled with the buffer memory receiving data from a serial data stream, a filter register, a comparator comparing the filter register value with an identifier transmitted in the serial data stream generating an acceptance signal, a buffer pointer coupled with the comparator to receive the acceptance signal, and an address register receiving an address form the buffer pointer for addressing the buffer memory. The arrangement can dynamically assign any filter register to any buffer within the buffer memory.
Abstract:
A microcontroller apparatus is provided with an instruction set for manipulating the behavior of the microcontroller. The apparatus and system is provided that enables a linearized address space that makes modular emulation possible. Direct or indirect addressing is possible through register files or data memory. Special function registers, including the Program Counter (PC) and Working Register (W), are mapped in the data memory. An orthogonal (symmetrical) instruction set makes possible any operation on any register using any addressing mode. Consequently, two file registers to be used in some two operand instructions. This allows data to be moved directly between two registers without going through the W register. Thus, increasing performance and decreasing program memory usage.
Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to functional pathway configurations at the interfaces between integrated circuits (ICs) and the circuit assemblies with which the ICs communicate. More particularly, the present invention relates generally to the functional pathway configuration at the interface between one or more semiconductor integrated circuit dice, including an IC package and the circuitry of a system wherein the integrated circuit dice is a digital signal controller. Even more particularly, the present invention relates to a 18, 28, 40, 44, 64 or 80 pin functional pathway configuration for the interface between the digital signal controller and the system in which it is embedded.
Abstract:
A radio frequency identification tag device having a sensor input which modifies a tag data word bitstream read by an interrogator/tag detector. The sensor input may be a switch contact(s), digital and/or analog. The sensor input may be voltage, current, pressure, temperature, resistance, acceleration, moisture, gas and the like. Power from the radio frequency interrogator/tag reader may be used to power the circuits of the radio frequency tag device, which in turn may supply power to any sensor connected thereto.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a microcontroller that may be configured to operate without the accompaniment of any external component. The microcontroller can function in a proper manner from the application of only power and signal lines with no external component required. The microcontroller (10) has integrated internal reset (14) and oscillator (16) circuitry into the microcontroller. The microcontroller has also integrated simple external components such as current limiting resistors into the microcontroller.
