    Abstract: A sliding track for sliding doors includes a sliding door track and a glass fixed panel track which have an inverted U-shape cross section with an opening facing downward. The sliding door track has a left and a right inner wall that have a pair of guiding tracks formed thereon to allow a plurality pairs of rollers which are hinged on a hanging track which is fastened to a sliding door on a lower side to roll thereon in a straddle manner. The sliding door track further has a pair of first wedge troughs on the upper left and upper right corners, and a pair of second wedge troughs on a lower side. The first and second wedge troughs are coupled with the glass fixed panel track. The sliding door track and the glass fixed panel track may also be coupled with an ornamental plate on the top. The glass fixed panel track may further be coupled with a sealing plate on the bottom.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for operating a security gate, is disclosed which may comprise a driving member connected to the security gate and adapted to move the security gate from a first position to a second position, responsive to operation of the driving mechanism; a position detection device associated with the operating mechanism and adapted to determine a first distance of the driving mechanism from a first reference point and a second distance of the driving mechanism from a second reference point, and to determine the position of the security gate based upon the relation between the first distance and the second distance. The apparatus and method may have the first reference point being the position of the position detector and the second reference point being at a preselected distance from the position detector. The apparatus and method, further, may have the position detector be an ultrasound, radio frequency or light wave, or the like, transmitter/receiver, and the first distance may be is measured by reflecting waves from a moving target moving as does the driving member and the second distance is measured by reflecting waves from a fixed target fixed in relationship to the transmitter/receiver.

    Abstract: An overhead garage door having the appearance of a set of light-transmitting doors, such as French doors. The garage door includes arrays of light-transmitting panels on the door arranged to simulate light-transmitting doors, moldings, doorknobs, and hardware for connecting the garage door to a garage.     Abstract: A moveable track cover is provided for use with a mechanism configured to move along a track. One example of such a mechanism is a pipe racking system used on off-shore oil and gas platforms. One end of the moveable track cover is connected to the pipe racking system mechanism which moves along the track. The other end of the track cover is spooled onto a drum. Rotation of the drum is controlled by a motor which exerts enough force to maintain the track cover in constant tension. When the pipe racking system mechanism moves towards the drum, the motor rotates the drum to roll the track cover onto the drum. When the pipe racking system mechanism moves away from the drum, it pulls the track cover off of the drum. By attaching a track cover to each side of the pipe racking system mechanism, the track along which the pipe racking system mechanism travels is kept covered at all times. The track cover may be constructed of a sheet of stainless steel strengthened by rib assemblies. The rib assemblies may include wear strips to facilitate easy sliding of the track cover, and the top of the sheet will preferably have a non-skid material adhered to it to prevent workers from slipping on the sheet when they are walking across it.

    Abstract: A screw drive mechanism connectable to at least one of a first machine portion and a second machine portion for moving the second machine portion relative to the first machine portion from a first position to a second position. The mechanism has a base for attachment to one of the first and the second machine portions and a motor attached to the base. It includes a drive screw having a rotary motion connection to the motor to be rotated thereby and a drive nut having an internally threaded bore engaged with the drive screw to receive a drive force from the drive screw. A drive nut connection is engaged with the drive nut for conveying the drive force to one of the first and the second machine portions. An anti-rotation member is attached to the drive nut connection, the anti-rotation member engaging the drive nut to prevent rotation thereof. The mechanism also includes an activation member attached to the base, the activation member contacting a disengaging surface portion of the anti-rotation member when such one of the first and the second machine portions is moved to the second position to place the anti-rotation member in a position disengaged from the drive nut so that the drive nut may rotate. A drive nut rotating device is attached to the base, the drive nut rotating device rotating the drive nut to a locking position when such one of the first and the second machine portions is moved to the second position.
