    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve data throughput to a communication link set between a data node and a mobile user by interrupting the data packets sent from a data source, buffering the data packets before they are sent to a desired data link and receiving these packets. SOLUTION: An IWFTCP proxy receives a packet from a data server 50 before it transfers the packet to an MS 10 as a new TCP origination and also buffers temporarily the received packet. A TCP function particularly confirms whether the packet that is received from the server 50 and addressed to a specific user (e.g. the MS 10) is correctly received. If the packet is correctly received, the IWFTCP proxy instantaneously sends the ACK back to the server 50 for the received packet. Thereby these packets arrive at each desired destination from the viewpoint of the server 50 and the ACK is quickly returned. Thus, a data rate can be scaled up.

SOLUTION: An optical communication system economizes in electric power by coupling a splitter 110 with an optical amplifier 101. The amplifier 101 is constituted to receive optical signals 107 and pumping light. The splitter 110 supplies part 109 of the pumping light used by the amplifier 101 to another device 111 (for example, an optical amplifier, filter, or modulator) of the optical communication system. Since the part of the pumping light used by the amplifier 101 is supplied to another device in the optical communication system, the electric power required for operating the system is reduced and, accordingly, the power consumption of the system are reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an authentication key of a user impossible to be easily judged from the outside by taking out cryptographic shares from a specified memory position as a function of a parameter and making a cryptographic key possible to be generated based on knowledge of the sufficient number of cryptographic shares. SOLUTION: Each of 15 key stroke featured values is measured as a parameter whenever a password is inputted by a user. The parameter is compared with a threshold related to the measured value by the function and an index Ψi to take either of values zero or 1 depending on to which side of the threshold the parameter comes. Then, the value of Ψi is inputted in (i)-th line of a share table 500 as an index. A value of selected entry of the (i)-th line is used as the cryptographic share from the specified line. After all cryptographic shares are selected, a key is generated by the cryptographic share. Since all positions of the share table 500 are provided with effective cryptographic shares at first, when a right password is supplied first, a correct key is generated.

On use, a basket 28 which is preferably a wire net is fitted to the hook 27 by a handle 29. The liquid tank 16 includes a washing tank, and the liquid tank 17 includes a rinsing tank, and the basket 28 is moved to the liquid tank 17 from the liquid tank 16 during washing operation. In the bottom part of the washing liquid tank 16, a heating coil 31 is positioned, and it heats the washing liquid.
