Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve data throughput to a communication link set between a data node and a mobile user by interrupting the data packets sent from a data source, buffering the data packets before they are sent to a desired data link and receiving these packets. SOLUTION: An IWFTCP proxy receives a packet from a data server 50 before it transfers the packet to an MS 10 as a new TCP origination and also buffers temporarily the received packet. A TCP function particularly confirms whether the packet that is received from the server 50 and addressed to a specific user (e.g. the MS 10) is correctly received. If the packet is correctly received, the IWFTCP proxy instantaneously sends the ACK back to the server 50 for the received packet. Thereby these packets arrive at each desired destination from the viewpoint of the server 50 and the ACK is quickly returned. Thus, a data rate can be scaled up.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more efficient optical communication system. SOLUTION: An optical communication system economizes in electric power by coupling a splitter 110 with an optical amplifier 101. The amplifier 101 is constituted to receive optical signals 107 and pumping light. The splitter 110 supplies part 109 of the pumping light used by the amplifier 101 to another device 111 (for example, an optical amplifier, filter, or modulator) of the optical communication system. Since the part of the pumping light used by the amplifier 101 is supplied to another device in the optical communication system, the electric power required for operating the system is reduced and, accordingly, the power consumption of the system are reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an authentication key of a user impossible to be easily judged from the outside by taking out cryptographic shares from a specified memory position as a function of a parameter and making a cryptographic key possible to be generated based on knowledge of the sufficient number of cryptographic shares. SOLUTION: Each of 15 key stroke featured values is measured as a parameter whenever a password is inputted by a user. The parameter is compared with a threshold related to the measured value by the function and an index Ψi to take either of values zero or 1 depending on to which side of the threshold the parameter comes. Then, the value of Ψi is inputted in (i)-th line of a share table 500 as an index. A value of selected entry of the (i)-th line is used as the cryptographic share from the specified line. After all cryptographic shares are selected, a key is generated by the cryptographic share. Since all positions of the share table 500 are provided with effective cryptographic shares at first, when a right password is supplied first, a correct key is generated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fast, compact and effective fast Hadamard transform engine. SOLUTION: This fast Hadamard transform unit, used by a wireless communication system in order to detect and correct errors generated, in the case of transmission of a coded signal block such as a Walsh code word, has a plurality of transform stages. Each stage 11 of the transform unit includes an adder 106 and a subtractor 108, each of which has an output terminal. The adder and the subtractor receive signals in pair and generate an intermediate coefficient. A 1st memory unit and the adder simultaneously provides a plurality of intermediate coefficient signal pairs to a succeeding transform stage and 1st, and 2nd memory units simultaneously provide a plurality of the other intermediate coefficient signal pairs to the succeeding transform stage.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve erasure endurance characteristics by applying a first voltage with a first polarity, a second voltage that is higher than the first voltage, and a third voltage with a second polarity to a well part, a drain region, and a control gate, respectively, for supplying, and by selectively erasing a memory cell. SOLUTION: A first voltage that is a positive voltage within a range of 2 to 3 V with a first polarity is supplied to a well 16 by a switch 30a that is related to a bias source. A second voltage with a first polarity that is a positive voltage within a range of 5 to 9 V that has been set to a larger value than the first voltage in terms of an absolute value is supplied to a drain region 21 by the bias source and a switch block 30b. Further, a third voltage with a second polarity that is a negative voltage within a range of 5 to 8 V is applied to a control gate 27 for supplying by a third bias source and a switch block 30c, thus selectively erasing a memory cell.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device conforming to a specification standard of the washing degree by dividing the inside of a tank member into two liquid tanks by a weir, preventing washing liquid from splashing between both the liquid tanks by a surge control member, and also heating the washing solvent by a heating member and moving a basket containing parts to be washed by a winding assembly. SOLUTION: A system 11 is provided with a vessel 12, and a tank 13 is housed therein. The tank 13 is divided into two adjacent liquid tanks 16, 17 by a weir 18. Two supporting members 19, 21 support a winding truck 22 above the tank 13. A winding machine 23 moving along the winding truck 22 is provided with a control and actuation unit 24, a lowering cable 26, and a hook 27. On use, a basket 28 which is preferably a wire net is fitted to the hook 27 by a handle 29. The liquid tank 16 includes a washing tank, and the liquid tank 17 includes a rinsing tank, and the basket 28 is moved to the liquid tank 17 from the liquid tank 16 during washing operation. In the bottom part of the washing liquid tank 16, a heating coil 31 is positioned, and it heats the washing liquid.

SOLUTION: A public switched telephone network(PSTN) 100 is provided with a switching node 101 for routing the communication (calling) to ACD systems 110-112. Calling is incoming and routed to non-central ACD systems 110 and 112. When the central ACD system can provide a service better than these non-central ACD systems, refusal (busy signal) is returned to the switching node 101 by the non-central ACD systems. Thus, the connection of calling to this non-central ACD system is released and calling is routed to the central ACD system 111 as the designated substitutive destination.
