Abstract: Disclosed are a lock detector and a clock generator including the same. The lock detector includes a counter unit which provides a count value by counting a mismatch section of a first signal and a second signal which are comparison signals obtained by comparing the phase of a reference signal with the phase of a comparison signal, and a lock detecting unit which outputs a lock detection signal based on a comparison result by comparing the count value with a reference value. Abstract: PURPOSE: A high-speed wideband frequency comparing apparatus is provided to rapidly compare a reference signal with a comparison target signal and to operate in a high speed or through broadband. Abstract: PURPOSE: A PLL(Phase Locked Loop) circuit having a multiple-loop is provided to eliminate spur noises and phase noises from an output signal by reducing ripples from an output electric charge of a charge pump and a control signal of a ring oscillator. CONSTITUTION: A frequency detector(110) receives signals having a reference frequency and a feedback signal. A phase detector(120) detects the phase difference of a filtering signal and a reference signal. A first charge pump(130) controls a first output electric charge in response to a first up signal and a first down signal. A second charge pump(140) controls a second output electric charge in response to a second up signal and a second down signal. A pulse generator(150) generates a pulse signal having a predetermined pulse length in response to the reference signal. A loop filter(160) is composed of a low-pass filter. A voltage controlled oscillator(170) outputs an oscillation signal having a frequency corresponding to a control voltage. A divider(180) generates frequency division signals having the frequency lowered by a predefined dividing ratio. A low-pass filter(190) filters the oscillation signal outputted from the voltage controlled oscillator.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A ring oscillator with a broadband output frequency is provided to simply change an oscillation frequency by controlling a control signal applied to the varactor. CONSTITUTION: Each delay cell comprises a transconductance unit(210), a reverse speed varying unit(230), and an output speed varying unit(270). The transconductance unit outputs a signal delayed for a preset time to first and second output nodes by reversing a first differential input signal of the delay cell. The reverse speed varying unit is connected to the transconductance unit. The reverse speed varying unit varies the revere speed of the first differential input signal according to the first control signal. An active load unit provides an active load to the transconductance unit by receiving a second differential input signal from the delay cell before two stages. Abstract: A voltage-controlled oscillator with wide frequency range is provided to increase the range of oscillation frequency by increasing variable capacitance by a plurality of MOS transistors connected to a LC resonance circuit.
