    Abstract: A structure for mounting a heat protector at an engine exhaust manifold is provided to improve the endurance of a coupling section of a heat protector by preventing vibration from being directly transferred from an exhaust manifold to the heat protector. A structure for mounting a heat protector at an engine exhaust manifold comprises elastic members(12,14) positioned at the inner and outer portions of a heat protector(4). The heat protector is fixed to a boss(6) that protrudes from an exhaust manifold. A column(24) is interposed between a fixing bolt(10) and the elastic members such that the elastic members is not in direct contact with the fixing bolt. A retainer(28) is interposed between a head section(26) of the fixing bolt and the column such that the elastic members maintain elastic force thereof. Each elastic member includes a spring made of a conical cylinder member.

    Abstract: An exhaust manifold structure is provided to improve endurance of an exhaust manifold by allowing the exhaust manifold to be uniformly heated or cooled when the exhaust manifold is repeatedly heated by exhaust gas or cooled by external air. An exhaust manifold structure comprises an exhaust manifold body(11), which has a hollow section therein and an opening at one side thereof, and a flange(12). The exhaust manifold body has two runner plates(10) arranged in the vertical direction and welded to each other. The flange is welded to the peripheral portion of the opening of the exhaust manifold body. The flange is formed with a plurality of bolt insertion holes such that the exhaust manifold body is coupled with a cylinder head of an engine through a bolt and a nut. Four runner pipes(13) are integrally attached to the flange such that exhaust gas of the engine is introduced into an exhaust manifold.
