Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain metal fine powder having excellent electric and magnetic characteristic by mixing fused bath containing inogarnic metal salt or complex salt and its reducing agent under heating and stirring in a system of quick core forming reaction and quick growing reaction for developing the metal fine powder in the above fused bath. CONSTITUTION:The fused bath containing generally the organic metal salt of chloride, sulfate, etc., or the complex salt, in which contains complexing agent of NH3, etc., and its reducing agent is prepared. As the reducing agent, for example, sodium hypophophite, sodium boron hydroxide, etc., is used. Next, the above fused bath is heated and mixed under stirring or non-heated little quantity of the liquid is mixed with heated much quantity of the other liquid under stirring. By this method, the metal fine powder having the above excellent characteristic is easily obtd. Further, in order to obtain magnetic fine particle of Fe, Ni, Co, etc., by stirring under existence of the magnetic field, the magnetic fine powder having further improved electric and magnetic characteristics are obtd.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable uniform and firm metal plating only on the part of a body requiring plating by applying catalytic paste consisting of palladium hydrosol contg. a surfactant and of a water soluble binder to the body and by carrying out chemical plating. CONSTITUTION:Palladium hydrosol cong. one or more kinds of surfactants selected among cationic, anionic and nonionic surfactants is mixed with a water soluble binder, stirred and cooled to prepare catalytic paste for chemical plating. This paste is applied to a body to be plated to stick palladium colloid and then the body is chemically plated with a metal such as Ni, Co, Nu or Ag. By this method, uniform and film chemical plating can be carried out only on the part requiring plating. This method is adoptable in the production of a decorative material, a heat insulating material, a magnetic tape to disk, a printed board or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a metallic film having superior adhesion on plastics by chemical plating by successively treating the plastics with a surfactant and palladium hydrosol and carrying out chemical plating. CONSTITUTION:Plastics is treated in a soln. sontg. a surfactant, palladium colloid is stuck to the surface of the plastics by immersion in palladium hydrosol and then the plastics is chemically plated with a metal such as Ni, Co, Cu or Ag. One or more kinds of surfactants selected among cationic, anionic and nonionic surfactants nay be added to the palladium hydrosol as required. By this method, a metallic film having superior adhesion can be formed on the surface of the plastics by chemical plating with high reproducibility.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound having high stability, soluble in organic solvent and useful as a raw material of catalyst, easily in the form of precipitate, by reacting an anion complex of a noble metal such as silver, gold, etc., with a water-soluble cationic surfactant in an aqueous medium. CONSTITUTION:A noble metal anion complex containing a noble metal selected from silver, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, gold, iridium and platinum is made to react with a water-soluble cationic surfactant (preferably a quaternary ammonium salt such as hexyltrimethylammonium bromide) in an aqueous medium usually at room temperature, and the produced precipitate is recovered by conventional method to obtain the objective product. The raw material containing a noble metal anion complex is e.g. potassium dicyanoargentate. The molar ratio of the noble metal compound to the cationic surfactant is preferably 1:1 or 1:2.

CONSTITUTION:Palladium organosol contg. an org. solvent as a dispersion medium is stuck to a material to be plated such as paper, nonwoven fabric, glass, ceramics, a polymer, a metal or a metallic oxide by dipping, coating or other method. The org. solvent is evaporated to bond uniformly and firmly palladium colloid consisting of fine and uniform particles. Chemical plating is then carried out by a conventional method using the palladium colloid as a catalyst. Only the necessary part of the material is placed uniformly and firmly with the metal such as Ni, Co or Cu.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a stable hydrosol, free from the deterioration of colloid adsorptivity, possible to suppress foaming when preparation to easily prepare and harmless and safe to human body by reduction-treating an aq. solution of a noble metal salt in the presence of sucrose or by adding sucrose after reduction-treating. CONSTITUTION:The aq. solution of the noble metal salt (e.g. ruthenium chloride) is reduction-treated in the presence of sucrose with sodium borohydride or after reduction-treating, sucrose is added into the solution. As a result, the stable hydrosol, free from the deterioration of colloid adsorptivity, possible to suppress foaming in preparation, to easily prepare and harmless and safe to human body is obtained.

Benzene, methanol, brombenzene, or the like is used as the above-mentioned org. solvent. The metal in contact therewith is converted to the easily soluble compd. which is dissolved in the org. solvent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a dyed material rich in unconventional high-class feeling by pretreating a textile product with a metallic mordant, printing the resultant textile product with a resist size consisting of a thermally reversible high polymer and then dipping the printed textile product in a noble metal hydrosol having negative charge above the phase transition temperature essential to the afore-mentioned resist size. CONSTITUTION:A textile product, such as silk or wool, is subjected to mordanting treatment with a metallic mordant and then printed with a resist size solution consisting of a thermally reversible high polymer, i.e., a high polymer (e.g., polyN-isopropylacrylamide) capable of phase transition from a hydrophilic (low temperature) to a hydrophobic phases (high temperature) with temperature in a state coexisting with water and the resultant textile product is then dipped in a noble metal hydrosol containing noble metal colloids having negative charge above the phase transition temperature essential to the afore- mentioned resist size to dye parts other than the above-mentioned printed part. The afore-mentioned size is subsequently removed with cold water below the phase transition temperature.
