    Abstract: Pigmented, water-based, solvent-free coating material containing an aqueous binder comprising a dispersion of copolymer based on alkyl (meth)acrylate monomers plus 3-6C mono-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid in amounts of less than 1 wt%, with a total polar comonomer content (including these acids) of 0.1-10 wt%. Pigmented, water-based coating material, essentially free from volatile, water-insoluble organic compounds, containing (I) an aqueous binder with a minimum film-forming temperature (MFT) of not more than 5 deg C, based on an aqueous dispersion of polymer(s) (P) derived from (A) 90-99.9 wt.% of at least two different types of monomer comprising (A1) 2-12C alkyl acrylates and (A2) 1-12C alkyl methacrylates, (B) from 0 to less than 1 wt.% 3-6C mono-unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, (C) 0-0.5 wt.% 4-6C mono-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and/or unsaturated sulfonic acid, (D) 0-2 wt.% amides of mono-acids of type (B), (E) 0-5 wt.% 2-4C hydroxyalkyl esters of (B) (E1) and/or esters of (B) with poly-(2-3C alkylene oxides) (E2), (F) 0-5 wt% mono-unsaturated monomers with urea groups and/or mono-unsaturated monomers with an acetylacetoxy group (CH3COCH2COO-), where the total amount of (B) and (C) is less than 1 wt% (based on A-F) and the total amount of (B-F) is 0.1-10 wt.%, (II) inorganic pigment particles, (III) optionally inorganic filler particles and (IV) typical auxiliary substances for coating materials. The coating material contains less than 0.05 wt% Photoinitiators (based on P) and has a pigment volume concentration (PVC) of more than 20.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a particulate, partially or fully cross-linked rubber having a glass transition temperature which is lower than 0 °C. Said rubber has cross-linking points which are interconnected by network arcs having a mean molecular weight of between 10,000 g/mol and 50,000 g/mol. According to the invention, the average nuclear magnetic transversal relaxation time (T2m) of the rubber protons is between 3 and 15 ms, when measured at a temperature of 140 °C, and has an at least bimodal relaxation time distribution (h(T2)). A first fraction, representing at least 70 %, has a mean transversal relaxation time (T2s) of between 2 and 10 ms. The inventive rubber is preferably used as an impact-resistant modifier for moulding materials, in a grafted or non-grafted form.
