    Abstract: Heterogeneously catalyzed gas phase partial oxidation of organic compound with oxygen over fixed catalyst bed involves: recovering quality of the fixed catalyst bed by not replacing entire fixed catalyst bed but only its portion by a replacement fixed catalyst bed part; when increasing operating time is accompanied by increasing reduction in quality of the fixed catalyst bed, such that volume-specific activity of the replacement fixed catalyst bed part is lower than volume-specific activity of replaced fixed catalyst bed part in its freshly installed state. Method for heterogeneously catalyzed gas phase partial oxidation of at least one organic starting compound with molecular oxygen over a fixed catalyst bed freshly installed into a reaction chamber, involving conducting a reaction gas mixture comprising the at least one organic starting compound and the molecular oxygen through the fixed catalyst bed, for partial oxidation; and removing the heat of reaction by indirect heat exchange with a fluid heat carrier conducted outside the reaction chamber, involves: recovering the quality of the fixed catalyst bed by not replacing the entire fixed catalyst bed but only its portion by a replacement fixed catalyst bed part; when increasing operating time is accompanied by an increasing reduction in the quality of the fixed catalyst bed, such that the volume-specific activity of the replacement fixed catalyst bed part is lower than the volume-specific activity of the replaced fixed catalyst bed part in its freshly installed state.

    Abstract: Following a prior reaction in the tube bundle reactor, and between extraction and re-charging, the solid layer of molybdenum oxide or and/or molybdenum oxide hydrates deposited on the insides of the reactor tubes, is brushed away. Cylindrical, especially spirally-configured tube brushes are used. The coating is brushed away immediately on its formation. The preceding process is one of heterogeneous catalysis promoting partial gas phase oxidation. Examples of prior reactions carried out, include conversion of: propylene to acrolein and/or acrylic acid, acrolein to acrylic acid, iso-butene to methacrolein and/or methacrylic acid, methacrolein to methacrylic acid, propane to acrolein and/or acrylic acid, iso-butane to methacrolein and/or methacrylic acid, propylene to acrylonitrile, propane to acrylonitrile, isobutene to methacrylonitrile, isobutane to methacrylonitrile, C 4-hydrocarbon(s) to maleic acid anhydride or methanol to formaldehyde. The after-care or servicing described, complements use of a multi-element, formed oxide catalyst, containing molybdenum oxide in its active mass. The product gas contains steam.

    Abstract: processo para a preparação de ácido acético. a invenção expõe um método para a produção de acetaldeído e/ou ácido acético, de acordo com cujo método, um fluxo gasoso, contendo oxigênio molecular, etanol e pelo menos uma impureza, selecionada a partir de compostos de enxofre, é colocado em contato, em alta temperatura, com um catalisador de oxidação resistente a enxofre. o etanol é, de um modo preferido, obtido a partir de uma biomassa. o referido catalisador de oxidação resistente a enxofre compreende, por exemplo, o óxido de vanádio e pelo menos um óxido de zircônio, titânio e alumínio. em uma modalidade, o fluxo gasoso é convertido, no catalisador de oxidação resistente a enxofre, a uma primeira mistura de oxidação, o acetaldeído sendo o produto de oxidação predominante, e a referida primeira mistura de oxidação sendo convertida em um outro calatalisador de oxidação, a uma segunda mistura de oxidação, ácido acético sendo o produto de oxidação predominante. o referido outro catalisador de oxidação compreende, por exemplo, um óxido multimetálico contendo, pelo menos, molibdênio e vanádio.
