    Abstract: Novel substituted isonicotinic acid esters of the general formula in which Y is halogen; X is oxygen or sulfur; Q is C1-C3alkylene, propenylene, C1-C3alkylene mono- or di-substituted by R, or propenylene mono- or di-substituted by R; R is C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl having from 1 to 3 halogen atoms, cyano, C2-C5alkoxycarbonyl, C3-C6cycloalkyl, phenyl, or phenyl substituted by C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, halogen, trifluoromethyl, tricholoromethyl, nitro or by cyano, or benzoyl or benzoyl substituted by C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4alkoxy, trifluoromethyl, trichloromethyl, nitro or by cyano; A is phenyl, biphenyl, phenoxyphenyl, naphthyl, pyridyl, furyl, thienyl, imidazolyl or triazolyl, it being possible for each of these radicals to be unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C3alkoxy, C1-C3haloalkoxy having from 1 to 3 halogen atoms, trifluoromethyl, nitro or by cyano; with the proviso (1) that if A is imidazolyl or triazolyl R may not be phenyl or benzoyl, and (2) that A and the R substituent in Q may together contain no more than 3 rings. The novel active ingredients have plant-protecting properties and are suitable especially for the preventive protection of plants against attack by phytopathogenic microorganisms, such as fungi, bacteria and viruses.

    Abstract: The invention discloses novel N-(2-nitrophenyl)-2-aminopyrimidine derivatives of the general formula I (I) wherein R1 and R2 are each independently NO2 or CF3, with the proviso that only R1 or R2 can be NO2 R3 is halogen, R4 is hydrogen or the -C(O)R' group, in which R' is C1-C4alkyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C3alkoxy or C1-C3alkylthio, R5, R6 and R7 are each independently hydrogen, halogen, nitro, cyano, thiocyano, C1-C12alkyl, C3-C8cycloalkyl, C1-C8alkylthio, C1-C6alkylsulfonyl, C1-C6alkylsulfoxyl, C3-C6alkenyl, C3-C6haloalkenyl, C3-C6alkynyl, C3-C6haloalkynyl, C3-C6alkenyloxy, C3-C6-haloalkenyloxy, C3-C6alkenylthio, C3-C6alkynyloxy, C3-C6haloalkynyloxy, C1-C8alkyl which is substituted by halogen, cyano and/or C1-C4alkoxy, unsubstituted C1-C8alkoxy or halogen-substituted C1-C8alkoxy, the alkyl moiety of which may be interrupted by one or more single oxygen atoms; or are the Q-(E)n-(X)m-group, in which n is 0 or 1, m is 0 or 1, Q is phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, nitro, C1-C3alkyl, CF3 and/or C1-C3 alkoxy, or is a saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic radical containing one or more hetero atoms, E is a C1-C3alkylene bridge, and X is oxygen or sulfur.
