    Abstract: The method involves using a test strip in form of a tape cartridge in a test device to prepare successive analytical test fields (32) on the test strip by tape transport. The test fields are treated by a user with a body fluid (52) and photometrically scanned using a measuring unit to record measured signals. A control value is determined from change in the measured signals over time and/or by wavelength, and the measured signals are processed as valid or rejected as erroneous following the control value that is stored in a radio frequency identification chip. An independent claim is also included for a test device for investigating a body fluid i.e. blood, for determining sugar in the blood.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a system (1) for testing a sample of bodily fluid, comprising a carrier band (3), which carries a plurality of consumable elements (4), wherein one end of the carrier band (3) is attached to a wind-up device (5) for winding the carrier band (3), together with used consumable elements (4), onto a reel (6) for the band transport, and comprising a display for displaying information regarding the supply of yet unused consumable elements (4) of the carrier band (3). According to the invention, it is provided that information regarding the supply of yet unused consumable elements (4) of the carrier band (3) is obtained from an angle of rotation and from a band transport length by which the carrier band (3) is moved with a rotation of the reel (6) about said angle of rotation.

    Abstract: Se refiere a una unidad de cinta de prueba con una cinta de soporte (34) flexible que se puede enrollar hacia adelante mediante un accionamiento de cinta (16), sobre la cual se encuentran ubicados una multiplicidad de campos de prueba (32) para análisis, para ser cargados con líquido corporal en un sector de cinta (42) correspondiente. Se propone que cada sector de cinta (42) presente varias marcas de posicion (44) que se pueden explorar por medio de un sensor de cinta (20) y de este modo se pueden identificar por medio de un parámetro de medicion, para diferentes posiciones de funcion. Además un aparato de cinta de prueba para el procesamiento de una unidad de cinta de este tipo.
