PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable puncturing tool which is prevented from being recycled. SOLUTION: The puncturing tool comprises a trigger device and a blocking parts, wherein the trigger device is characterized in that the trigger button drives a bearing parts and a support plate to roll relatively to each other thereby to shift a lancet holder into a second position and then a spring parts gets at least partly relaxed from being strained before lifted down thereby to shift the lancet holder relatively to a housing so that the top of the lancet may project from the opening of the housing; and the blocking parts is arranged to block the bearing parts and the support plate from rolling relatively to each other. The trigger device drives the bearing parts and the support plate to roll relatively to each other thereby to shift a lancet holder into the second position so that the puncturing tool is prevented from being recycled before the blocking parts does. 591702 Disclosed is a test tape unit (10). The test tape unit (10) includes a flexible carrier tape (14) that can be wound forwards by a tape drive (16). A plurality of analytical test fields (32) for the application of body fluid are applied on the tape (14). Each test field (32) is located on an associated tape section along with a check field (50) that is separate from the test field (32). Each tape section has a plurality of position markers (48, 58) for different functional positions that are structured to each be individually identifiable as a measured quantity by means of a tape sensor (20). At least one position marker is a check position marker (48) assigned to the check field (50). The check position marker (48) is separate from the check field (50) and identifies a functional position at which the check field (50) can be scanned for a functional check by a measuring unit (18). The measuring unit (18) is also operable to measure the test field (32) when the tape section is in a different functional position.

The invention concerns a test tape unit with a flexible carrier tape (34) that can be wound forwards by a tape drive (16) on which a plurality of analytical test fields (32) for the application of body fluid are each applied in an associated tape section (42). According to the invention it is proposed that each tape section (42) has a plurality of position markers (44) for different functional positions that can be scanned by means of a tape sensor (20) and can thereby be individually identified by a measured quantity.

The invention relates to an analytical test strip instrument comprising an exchangeable test strip unit (14) with a test strip (16) that is provided with a plurality of test elements (18) for exposure to a bodily fluid, and comprising a strip drive (12) for advancing the test strip (16), said drive capable of being coupled to the test strip unit (14), such that the test elements (18) can be prepared successively at an application station. According to the invention, the strip drive (12) comprises a direct current motor (26) and a reducing gear (28) disposed between the direct current motor (26) and the test strip unit (14).

The instrument has an exchangeable test tape cartridge including a test tape, which includes test elements loaded with bodily fluids e.g. blood. A tape drive is coupled with the test tape cartridge and pre-winds the test tape such that the test elements are successively provided at application points. The tape drive includes a reduction gear (28), which is arranged between a direct current motor (26) i.e. mechanically commutated motor, and the cartridge. A rotor of the motor includes a bearing point arranged in a drive housing.
