Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of sheet attaining improvement of production yield and quality, in production and fabrication of the sheet by measuring the velocity of a running sheet easily and exactly, and by non-contact which results in no generation of dirt, scratch and crease of the sheet in the process of producing and fabricating the sheet. SOLUTION: In this speed detection method for running sheet, the surface of the running sheet is electrically charged with intensities which vary periodically, and the electric potential on the surface of the sheet is measured at a first and a second positions apart from each other by a prescribed distance in the running direction downstream of the charged position. Based on the phase difference of the waveforms of the electric potential obtained at the first and the second positions and the prescribed distance, the running speed of the sheet is calculated. The sheet is produced and fabricated with this speed detection method.

SOLUTION: The defect detector is provided with a laser light source and a light-receiving means, which receives light from the light source; and a memory, which stores and memorizes one-dimensional electric signals in a plurality of scanning portions obtained by the light-receiving means for each scanning operation of a laser beam, when the laser beam is scanned in a direction of prescribed angle, with reference to the width direction of the sheet to be measured and a signal processing means which constitutes to a two-dimensional image from a two-dimensional electrical signal, obtained by sequentially arranging the one-dimensional electrical signals in the plurality of scanning portions and which analyzes the image for detecting the defect of the sheet.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To correctly and quickly measure the wind velocity or the like in a wide range by arranging in matrix many flow sensors which include an anemometer sensor element wherein a resistance value is a function of the temperature and a temperature compensating sensor element. CONSTITUTION:A cold wind blowing forwards from an opening end 2a of a chimney 2 passes through within a frame body 10 of a flow sensor device 1. During this time, the wind strikes an anemometer sensor element 16 and a temperature compensating sensor element 17 of each flow sensor 13. The element 16 generates heat when a voltage is applied to a bridge circuit 31. On the other hand, the temperature compensat ing sensor element 17 hardly generate heat. The calory of the heat generated by the element 16 is proportional to the difference between the surface temperature of the element 16 and the temperature of the air flow, namely, cold wind blowing out from the chimney 2. Therefore, a resistance value of the element 16 varies in accordance with the calory of the generated heat. In consequence, a voltage DELTAV corresponding to the temperature difference is generated between contact points (c) and (d) of the circuit 31, which voltage is output as a voltage vo1 through an amplifier 32. A voltage at a contact point (d), i.e., a terminal voltage of the element 17 is output as a voltage Vo2.

Further, a second target value at each of the measuring positions is revised on the basis of the described integral value, and the thickness of the sheet at each of the measuring positions is controlled based on the difference between the second target value and the measurements of the thickness of the sheet at the present point of time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the generation of ozone by detecting the emission of a fluorescent substance for every coating position with a photo detector that is arranged one- dimensionally and comparing an image signal to be outputted with a specific reference value. SOLUTION: When a carrying device 3 carries a rear-surface plate 1 to an image pickup position, it gives a rear-surface plate approach signal to a control device 10. The control device 10 gives an image read start signal to an image-processing device 8, and the image-processing device 8 starts reading an image signal that is outputted from an image pickup device 6. An RGB signal amplification device 9 amplifies each RGB signal with a magnification being determined for each type for an image signal being inputted from the image pickup device 6 and outputs the signal to be image- processing device 8. The image-processing device 8 stores an image signal and detects a defect that is generated in the rear-surface plate 1 by image processing, thus installing an ultraviolet ray application means close to the rear-surface plate, reducing the intensity of ultraviolet rays, and maintaining a specific inspection performance. Also, the need for an ozone treatment facility is eliminated to reduce the cost.
