    Abstract: The present invention relates to brown rice tea using sweet rice, which has excellent functionality, and a manufacturing method thereof. The present invention is commercialized through a process of cooking brown rice, broiling and cooking the rice in order to develop sweet rice to brown rice tea and has increased polyphenol and sugar contents; and is characterized in producing sweet rice brown rice tea which contains significantly higher functional compound contents of amino acids, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), etc. than general rice.
