    Abstract: PURPOSE: A Smith-Purcell terahertz oscillator is provided to focus electromagnetic waves radiated on a metal grating effectively. CONSTITUTION: A Smith-Purcell terahertz oscillator includes an electron emission source (110) and a metal grating (120). The electron emission source emits an electronic beam. The metal grating generates electromagnetic waves by interacting with the electronic beam. The metal grating forms one side interacting with the electronic beam into a concave curved surface in parallel with propagation direction of the electronic beam. The electronic beam has a curved cross section, and forms one side of the metal grating into the concave curve of the shape corresponding to the shape of the electronic beam.
