Abstract: PURPOSE: A system for avoiding the collision of pedestrians is provided to enable users to promptly respond to incidents by determining the collision possibilities of pedestrians using a vehicle speed sensor, a camera, radar, and an RF transmitter-receiver integrated in the system. CONSTITUTION: A system for avoiding the collision of pedestrians comprises a sensor unit (100), a calculating unit (200), a determining unit (300), and a brake pressure output unit (400). The calculating unit recognizes the approach of pedestrians on the basis of information collected by the sensor unit and calculates information about collisions and braking distances. The determining unit determines the collision possibilities of pedestrians on the basis of the information. The brake pressure output unit outputs the pressure of a brake using each wheel according to the pressure of the brake determined by the determining unit. Abstract: PURPOSE: A vehicle wheel balance diagnostic device and a wheel balance diagnosis method are provided to determine rapidly whether a vehicle wheels are unbalanced or not using a power spectrum value with respect to a wheel rotation frequency of acceleration signals. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle wheel balance diagnostic device(100) comprises an acceleration sensor(10), a sensor signal processing unit(20), and a diagnosis control unit(30). The acceleration sensor senses acceleration in a vertical direction of the wheels. The sensor signal processing unit processes the acceleration signals sensed by the acceleration sensor. The diagnosis control unit collects the acceleration signals, thereby diagnosing whether the wheels are balanced or not. The diagnosis control unit includes a diagnosis signal processing unit, a diagnosis signal calculating unit, and a wheel balance determining unit. The diagnosis signal processing unit processes the acceleration signals, thereby extracting a power spectrum. The diagnosis signal calculating unit calculates the maximum value of the power spectrum in a wheel rotation frequency section. Abstract: A low vibration tripod universal joint is provided to prevent a spider from vibrating while a vehicle travels by installing a trunnion whose square column is height-adjustable and angle-adjustable. Abstract: A coupling structure of a wheel bearing and a constant velocity joint is provided to cut down the manufacturing cost by reducing the manufacturing process, and to reduce fuel consumption and weight by decreasing the length of a stem and removing an assembling nut. An assembling groove(8c) is formed in a hub(8), and a stem(20a) is inserted to the hub and combined with a spline(8a). A recess(20c) is formed in the circumference of the stem, and an elastic clip(21) is contracted and inserted to the recess by reducing the diameter of the clip in fitting the stem into the hub. The stem of a constant velocity joint(200) is combined with the hub of a wheel bearing(100) by opening the clip with elastic repulsive force and engaging the clip with the assembling groove and the recess. An inlet groove(8d) is formed at the inlet of the hub to prevent inflow of foreign matters into the hub, and combined with a cover(22).

Abstract: A tripod constant velocity joint for reducing axial force and extending the life span is provided to prevent vibration and noise by decreasing axial force and restricting moment of a roller assembly, to improve durability by contacting a trunnion, and to cut down manufacturing cost by minimizing process of the trunnion. A tripod constant velocity joint(100) includes an outer race(110), a spider(120) inserted to the outer race, a spherical roller(130) and a needle bearing(140) for forming a roller assembly in the spider, and a guide ring(150). An outer flat surface(122a) is formed in an outer periphery of a trunnion(122) of the spider, and the spherical roller is rolled and slid between the outer flat surface and the outer race to transmit load from the outer race. An extension support part(132) is formed in a lower part of the spherical roller, and the needle bearing is contacted to an inner periphery of the spherical roller to transmit load from the spherical roller to the guide ring. A contact surface is formed in the inner periphery of the guide ring and contacted to the vertical surface of the needle bearing. A spring ring(160) is protruded horizontally to support the spherical roller, the needle bearing and the guide ring. The contact surface is curved according to vertical motion of the trunnion, and contacted to the outer flat surface of the trunnion.
