Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a power generation system of a vehicle comprises a generator generating electricity by being supplied with rotary power from an engine or driving wheels; a switching unit selectively outputting electricity to first and second output units and supplied with the electricity by being electrically connected to the generator; a capacitor electrically connected to the first output unit of the switching unit; a battery and electric loads electrically connected to the second output unit of the switching unit; a converter electrically connected to the first and second output units of the switching unit at the same time; and a control unit controlling the generation loads of the generator, the switching unit, and the converter based on the condition of the battery and vehicle driving information, and detecting consumption energy of the electric loads.
