Abstract: PURPOSE: An active headrest for a vehicle is provided to prevent injures to a neck by supporting a passenger's neck rapidly in the rear collision. CONSTITUTION: An active headrest for a vehicle comprises a stay rod, a guide bar, a slider, a spring, a moving bar, a front cover, and a latch assembly. The stay rod(10) is installed on the upper end of the seat back. The both vertical parts of the guide bar(12) are fixed on the upper end of the stay rod to be inclined to the front side. The slider(14) is installed on both vertical parts of the guide bar to be vertical moved. The spring(16) support the slider. The lower ends of the both vertical parts of the moving bar(18) are mounted on both sliders to be rotated. In the front cover(20), the upper end of the moving bar is mounted on the front upper corner part to be rotated. The latch assembly(22) is fixed on the upper end center of the stay rod and holds the moving bar.

Abstract: A headrest device is provided to safely protect an occupant when a vehicle accident occurs at a rear portion of the vehicle by allowing a support plane of the headrest device to be horizontally maintained relative to a rear head portion of an occupant. A headrest device comprises a lower mounting bracket(100) having a ratchet(102), front and rear link members(110,120) hinged to the mounting bracket, and an upper mounting bracket(130) hinged to upper portions of the front and rear link members to support a headrest. A first return spring(140) is installed between the front and rear link members to provide elastic force for returning the upper mounting bracket rearward of the seat bag. A pole(150) is provided to adjust the angle of the upper mounting bracket relative to the lower mounting bracket. A guide cam(160) is fixed to the lower mounting bracket. A cam(170) is hinged to the pole to allow the ratchet to be engaged with or released from the pole. A second return spring(180) is installed between the front link member and the pole to provide elastic force to the pole. A third return spring(190) provides elastic force to the cam.

Abstract: An active headrest driving apparatus for a seat in a vehicle is provided to protect a passenger, and to prevent injury of the neck by moving up and maintaining a headrest continuously at a collision. A stopper bracket(46) is combined with an upper panel(22), and bent for an upper armature member(45) placed in a guide hole(22a). An elastic member(47) is combined with the inside of the upper armature member faced to the stopper bracket, and the curved surface extended from the elastic member is contacted and elastically compressed to a headrest stay(31) placed in the upper armature member. A stopper assembly(48) is combined integrally with the end of the elastic member, and moved into and out of a stopper hole(45a) in deforming the elastic member to prevent the upper armature member from falling. Abstract: A seat back frame assembly for a vehicle is provided to arrange a lower cross member having an improved section modulus at the bottom of a seat back frame such that the lower cross member surrounds a recliner hinge shaft to improve side hardness of the seat back frame. A seat back frame assembly for a vehicle includes a recliner hinge shaft, a seat back frame(200), and a lower cross member(100). Abstract: A drum type seat back recliner is provided to prevent noise caused by friction of gears when locking and to prevent stuck of lock when the lever rotates unstably. A drum type seat back recliner comprises a brake unit(B), a fixed panel(600), a cam shaft(300), a lever member(700), and a return spring(800). The brake unit is locked and released by friction force. The fixed panel is fixed to the seat back, and supports the brake unit. The cam shaft rotatably assembles the brake unit to the fixed panel.
