Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent composition capable of exhibiting high washability against sock dirt and soils by mixing a specific aminopolycarboxylic acid-based builder, a specific acetal carboxylate polymer and a surfactant. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises (A) 3-50 wt.% of a compound of formula I [M1 is H, an alkali(ne earth) metal, ammonium or amine; R1 is an alkyl], (B) 0.1-20 wt.% of a polymer comprising structural units of formula II (M2 is the same as M1) or a polymer obtained by chemically modifying the terminal of the above polymer, and (C) 10-50 wt.% of a surfactant. Therein, the total amount of the components A and B is 4-70 wt.%, and an A/B weight ratio between the components A and B is 0.2-100. The composition preferably has a bulk density of 0.6-1.2 g/cm3. The component A has a calcium- trapping capacity of >=200 CaCO3 mg/g and a Ca-chelating stability constant of >=6. The component A is preferably methylglycine diacetic acid or its alkali metal salt.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition comprising a specific fatty acid amide type activator, showing an excellent cleaning power especially to oily stain at a low temperature due to quick swelling of oily stain by the activator. SOLUTION: This detergent composition comprises 3-50 wt.% of a fatty acid amide type activator of the formula R-CONH-(EO)x -(PO)y -(EO)z or R- CONH-(PO)a -(EO)b -(PC)c -H (R is a 7-19 C straight-chain or branched alkyl or alkenyl; EO is oxyethylene; PO is oxypropylene; (x), (y), (z), (a), (b) and (c) are each an average number of addition mols; (x) is 1 or 2, (y) and (z) are each 0.1-3 and x+y+z is 1.2-5; (a) is 1 or 2; (b) is 0-3; (c) is 0.1-3 and a+b+c is 1.1-5). Preferably 5-45% of an anionic surfactant is added to the composition with respect to prevention of soil redeposition. Preferably the total amounts of the surfactants in the composition is 10-60%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of exhibiting a graying- suppressing effect and an excellent sebum stain-washing force by including a surfactant, an N, N-bis(carboxymethyl)serine salt and polyethylene glycol. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 10-50 wt.% of a surfactant (preferably an anionic or nonionic surfactant), (B) 1-40 wt.% of an N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)serine salt of the formula [M is H, an alkali (alkaline earth) metal, ammonium, a basic amino], and (C) 1.0-5 wt.% of polyethylene glycol having a weight-average mol.wt. of 1,000-20,000. The composition preferably further contains 0.5-5 wt.% of an unsaturated carboxylic acid polymer having a weight-average mol.wt. of 1,000-150,000. Thereby, the detergent composition having an effect for suppressing a graying phenomenon which is a problem on the washing of clothes and capable of exhibiting an excellent whiteness- maintaining effect is provided.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a detergent, having excellent cleaning power even in a low concentration and enabling the washing with the detergent in an amount smaller than the conventional compact detergent by using a washing liquid containing a detergent composition which can suitably develop specific cleaning conditions. SOLUTION: This detergent composition for cloths free from phosphorus is composed of (A) a surfactant, (B) a crystalline alkali metal silicate and (C) a metal ion-blocking agent other than an alkali metal silicate. The weight ratio of a fatty acid and/or a fatty acid salt to a non-soap surfactant in the component A is =10.60. The washing liquid has a substance having ion-capturing activity necessary for making the hardness of washing water at or below 0.5 deg. DH based on calculation. Further, the concentration of the non-soap surfactant in the washing liquid is 0.16g/L.
