Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound having good smell and excellent storage stability and useful as a detergent base by adjusting the pH of an aqueous solution of an N-alkylamidoalkanol sulfuric acid ester salt within a prescribed range. Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound in an industrially advantageous way, useful as a detergent, emulsifier, or a raw material for medicines, etc., by purifying a mixture containing a phosphoric ester (salt) and orthophosphoric acid (salt) through removing the latter by using a reverse osmosis membrane. CONSTITUTION:A mixture containing a phosphoric ester (salt) of e.g. the formula (R is an 8-36C alkyl or alkenyl; R is H, an 8-36C alkyl or alkenyl; M is H, an alkali metal, alkanolamine or ammonium) and orthophosphoric acid (salt) is treated by using a reverse osmosis membrane device equipped with a reverse osmosis membrane consisting of an electrically chargeable synthetic polymer and having a sodium chloride exclusion rate of 0-90% to effect purification through removing the orthophosphoric acid (salt) from the mixture, thus obtaining the objective phosphoric ester (salt) in an industrially advantageous way, widely useful as detergents, textile processing agents, emulsifiers, rustproofing agents, liquid ion exchangers or medicines.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for fractionating a sucrose fatty acid ester having a specific composition from a reaction mixture of sucrose fatty acid esters by a simple operation without using an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:Sucrose fatty acid esters composed of a mixture of [SME], [SDE] and [SPE] ([SME] is a sucrose fatty acid ester having 1 ester exchange degree, [SDE] is a sucrose fatty acid ester having 2 ester exchange degree and [SPE] is a sucrose fatty acid ester having >=3 ester exchange degree) are mixed with fats and oils under heating and the prepared heated mixture is cooled to crystallize a sucrose fatty acid ester having high [SME] content. The crystallized substance is subjected to solid-liquid separation to give a crystallized sucrose fatty acid ester having high [SME] content and a sucrose fatty acid esters having high [SDE] and [SPE] contents.
