    Abstract: Nuevodispositivo de control en un mechero que sirve para encender un cigarrillo y `procedimiento que consiste en establecer un trayecto térmico preferido a recorre en cada puesta en servicio del elemento de calentamiento en reacción a una bocanada dada a un cigarrillo calentado eléctricamente; en establecer la configuración de un ciclo de energía en función del trayecto térmico deseado; en dividir este ciclo de energía en al menos una primera y una segunda fase que poseen cada una un periodo de tiempo predeterminado respectivo y una entrada total de energía para cada fase; en ajustar un ciclo de servicio respectivo (u otro factor de ajuste de energía) en cada fase del ciclo de energía en reacción a la detección de una tensión por parte de la fuente de energía, para llevar a cabo la entrada total de energía establecida respectiva de cada fase durante la duración de cada ciclo de energía.

    Abstract: A novel controller in an electrical smoking system and method, wherein the method includes the steps of: establishing a preferred thermal pathway to be executed with each heater activation responsively to a puff on an electrically heated cigarette; configuring a power cycle in accordance with the desired thermal pathway; dividing the power cycle into at least first and second phases each having a respective, predetermined time period and total energy input for each phase; and adjusting a respective duty cycle (or other power-adjusting factor) in each phase of the power cycle responsively to a voltage reading of the power source such that the established, respective total energy input of each phase is achieved during the time period of each power cycle.

    Abstract: The heater includes a cylindrical tube made of mechanically strong and elsatic electromaterial, such as metal with multiple separated sections. Electrically insulated layer, such as ceramic, is applied on its external surface with the exception of one open section. Then electrically resistent heaters are applied over the insulated sections which are electrically connected by one of their ends to the underlying electrically conducting section. The electric conductor is connected to the negative terminal of a supply source. The other end of all heaters is fabricated in such a way in order that it should be connected to the positive terminal of the source. Electroresistant heating circuit shall be made, respectively, where the tube shall serve as a common terminal for all the heating elements. The tubular heater can contain an open endpiece from which multiple wider sections can spread. On each of them a heating layer can be separately applied. In another alternative a heater can be applied on every other wider section. The wider sections having no heaters shall act as barriers for minimizing the separation of the produced scents outwards and as heat absorbers for the heaters in the adjacent sections. 49 claims, 14 figures
