    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate a stage for removing unnecessary parts of a resin layer and to improve productivity and transferability, as well as quality by coating and forming a group of a UV-curing resin having a thickness of a sheet metal through the insertion holes of the sheet metal onto one face of a disk substrate. CONSTITUTION:The sheet metal 2 formed with the plural through-holes 3 except in a central aperture 1a of the CD substrate 1 is imposed on the substrate 1 and a ski bar 14 is slid along the sheet metal 2 in an arrow X direction to coat the UV-curing resin 6 through the holes 3, by which the group 6A of the UV-curing resin is formed thereon to the thickness of the sheet metal 2. The substrate 1 is then imposed on the signal surface 7A of a disk stamper 7 formed with signal pits in such a manner as to hold the group 6A therebetween. The substrate 1 is moved in an arrow Y direction to press and defnrm the group 6A through press rollers 8, by which the UV-curing resin layer 6B is formed. The layer 6B is cured by irradiating UV rays UV on the layer 6B from the substrate 1 side to form the transfer layer 6C. The layer 6C is stripped from the stamper 7 and the disk 10 having the signal pit surface 10A corresponding to the surface 7A is obtd.

SOLUTION: This recorder comprises a spindle motor 12 for driving rotation of an optical disk 11, an optical head 20 for emitting a laser beam to a target track of the optical disk 11 and both neighbor tracks adjoining the target track and also detecting each returning light, a high-pass filter part 31 for transmitting high frequency components of a signal of the light returning from the target track detected by the optical head 20, low-pass filter parts 32, 33 for transmitting low frequency components of detection signals of the respective returning light from the above both neighbor tracks, an adder part 38 for summing/ subtracting the output signals from the high-pass filter part 31 and the low-pass filter parts 32, 33, and a PLL 39 for generating a reference signal as a time reference for recording signal generation based on the signal from the adder part 38, and offsets a cross modulation component by arithmetic operation in the adder part 38.

In such a case, even in a modulation system with a DC component, and even when no data lock is reproduced, asymmetry is detected effectively, and the asymmetry correction amount is surely drawn within a prescribed draw range even when a lock of a PLL comes off.

CONSTITUTION:The tape-like optical medium 2 is wound around the outer circumference 21A of the rotary drum 21, and the optical recording medium 2 is irradiated by a light beam LA1 from an optical head 9 provided outside the drum 2, so that information is recorded and/or reproduced on the optical recording medium 2. In this case, the groove part 25 formed along an irradiating position of the light beam LA1 is provided on the outer circumferential surface 21B of the drum to be slid in contact with the side of the back side 2B of a recording area 2A of the optical recording medium 2 to be irradiated by the light beam LA1. Consequently, the recording area 2A of the optical recording medium to be irradiated by the light beam LA1 is always supported on its back side 2B by an air layer. By this method, even in case of a foreign matter such as dust, etc., mixed into between the optical recording medium 2 and the outer circumferential surface 21B of the rotary drum 21, etc., no ruggedness takes place on the surface of the tape-like optical recording medium 2.
