Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the mottling of orientation, meandering in the process of production and the fluctuation of width by a method wherein a polymer sheet is oriented in the atmosphere at first and, subsequently, is oriented in a liquid bath upon orienting the polymer sheet, constituted of an aromatic polyamide containing a solvent, into the direction of transversal axis of the same. SOLUTION: Upon effecting the transversal orientation of a polymer sheet, constituted of an aromatic polyamide containing a solvent, the sheet is oriented in atmosphere at first and, subsequently, is oriented in water solution. A draw ratio in atmosphere is preferably specified so as to be 1.1-1.6 times while the draw ratio in water solution is specified preferably so as to be 1.02-1.5 times. On the other hand, an orientation temperature in atmosphere is preferably specified so as to be 20-60 deg.C while an orientation temperature in liquid bath is preferably specified so as to be 30-80 deg.C. A device for orientation is constituted of a first stage orientation chamber, orienting in atmosphere, and a second stage orientation chamber, consisting of three sets of water tanks, while the first stage orientation is effected by the peripheral speed difference between rolls 2, 2' and rolls 3, 3'. The second stage orientation is effected by the peripheral speed ratio between the rolls 3, 3 and rolls 7, 7', between the rolls 7, 7' and rolls 11, 11' and between the rolls 11, 11' and rolls 15, 15'.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a thin film by extruding polymer solution by a screw type extruder disposed vertically, and degassing the solution in the extruder. SOLUTION: A material inlet 21 is provided at a screw type extruder 1 disposed vertically, and polymer solution 24 in a barrel 23 is extruded by rotation of a screw 22. The gas in the solution is separated from the solution by the pressure generated in the extruder 1, and extruded upward via the gap between the top face of the spiral wall 28 of the screw 22 and the inner surface of the barrel 23. Bubble fed to a spare chamber 27 are further effectively separated from the solution by agitating by an agitating blade 29, and extracted upward by the own buoyancy.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect even a flaw which causes neither transmitted light nor reflected light to shift in peak position by providing plural photosensors and detecting outputs of photosensors other than photosensors which detect the main light of the transmitted or reflected light. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving part S is arranged on the rear surface side of, for example, a sheet body 1 to be inspected and consists of the photosensors S1, S2 ... arrayed in matrix. One photosensor is almost as large as a circular light beam transmitted through the sheet body 1. When a light beam transmitted through a nondefective sheet body 1 reaches the sensor S5, the beam is received only by the sensor S5 and none of other sensors detects it. If the sheet body 1 has a flow an elliptic image is formed on the light receiving part S, so sensors other than the sensor S5 also detect the light even although the position of the main light is on the sensor S5. For the purpose, a detection part D removes the output of the sensor S5 and detects the outputs of the sensors at its periphery to detect the flaw.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the uneven sheet thickness due to the fluctuation of the speed of a moving cooling body, the vibration of a mouth piece and the like by a method wherein the waveform and phase of voltage output, which is applied by a high-voltage generator to a discharge electrode, are variably controlled in synchronization with the fluctuation of the moving speed of the moving cooling body. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a cooling roller 3 is held at high potential by being applied with high voltage generated by a high-voltage generator 5. The surface speed of the cooling roller 3 is monitored with an optical speed meter 6. The obtained speed fluctuation signals are sent to a waveform signal analyzer 7 so as to be analyzed in order to express the signals in terms of the sum of a plurality of sinusoidal waves. Control signals generating potential change to apply periodic waveforms, the frequencies and amplitudes of which are equal to one another and the phases of which are shifted at 180 degrees to each of split up sinusoidal waves, are sent from the analyzer 7 to the high-voltage generator 5 in order to variably control the potential of the discharge electrode 8 as mentioned above.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven sheet thickness due to uneven delivery of thermoplastic polymer by a method wherein the waveform and phase of voltage output, which is applied by a high-voltage generator to a moving cooling body, are variably controlled in synchronization with the change of delivery of thermoplastic polymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric sheet 4, which is melt-extruded from a mouth piece 3, is cooled and solidified and, after that, sent through a separating roller 6 to a post-treatment process. The surface of the cooling roller 5 is held at high potential by being applied with high voltage generated by a high-voltage generator 7. The change of the pressure of molten polymer is monitored with a pressure gate 8 so as to send monitored change waveform signal to an analyzer 9 in order to analyzer and to express the signal in terms of the sum of a plurality of sinusoidal waves. And control signals generating potential change to apply periodic waveforms, the frequencies and amplitudes of which are equal to and the phases of which are shifted at 180 degree to each of split up sinusoidal waves, are sent from the analyzer 9 to the high-voltage generator 7 in order to variably control the surface potential of the cooling roller 5 as mentioned above.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce thickness unevenness of a thermoplastic resin film, by reducing a sound wave which causes the thickness unevenness in the neighborhood of a nozzle when the thermoplastic resin film is prepared. CONSTITUTION:An undrawn film is obtained by heating and melting a thermoplastic resin above the m.p., extruding it from a nozzle into a film-shape and charging preferably an electrostatic charge on the film to tightly adhere it on a cooling drum. It is essential to keep a level of a sound pressure at a definite value or less in the neighborhood of the nozzle, when this undrawn film is prepared. Namely, the film preparation is carried out in such a condition that every sound pressure level of 1/3 octave central frequency is kept at 75dB or lower for the sound at 50Hz or lower, every sound pressure level of 1/3 octave central frequency is kept at 80dB or lower for the sound in the range of 50Hz-200Hz, and every sound pressure level of 1/3 octave central frequency is kept at 85dB or lower for the sound in the range of 200Hz-1,000Hz, thereby to obtain a thermoplastic resin film having less uneven thickness.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To certainly prevent the generation of folded wrinkles on a film caused by the air bank generated on a roll, in stretching the film between rolls different in a peripheral speed, by applying an electrostatic field to the side of the low speed roll. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene terephthalate film 1 with a thickness of 20mum biaxially oriented under a stretching condition of 3.5 times in both longitudinal and lateral directions is sent between a low speed roll 2 having a hard chromium plating surface and an electrode 6. The electrode 6 to be used comprises an elastomer roll with hardness of 70 deg. and volume inherent resistivity of 10 OMEGA.cm and the contact pressure with the low speed roll is set to 0.5kg/cm and voltage to be applied is set to 1.0kV. An opposed roll comprises an elastomer roll with hardness of 80 deg.. Subsequently, the film 1 is stretched while closely contacted with a high speed roll 3. Even if a stretching magnification reaches 1.4-1.8, folded wrinkles and scratch are not generated.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform the heat treatment of a film without developing any process troubles such as flaw, break or the like of the film so as to obtain the target low heat shrinkage factor and flatness by a method wherein a biaxially stretched film is crosswise relaxation-treated at a relaxation factor lying in a specified range in a tenter and successively is lengthwise relaxation- treated at a relaxation factor lying in a specified range in the tenter under the state that both sides of the film are kept on being grasped with clips. CONSTITUTION:First, before a tenter 21, a film F is lengthwise unidirectionally stretched with a longutudinally stretching device. Secondly, the film is carried into the tenter 21 so as to be preheated and then stretched crosswise into a biaxially stretched film. Thirdly, the resultant biaxially stretched film is crosswise relaxation-treated at a relaxation factor of 0.1-10% in No.7 zone 37. Fourthly, the film is lengthwise relaxation-treated at a relaxation factor of 0.1-3% in No.8 zone 38. The lengthwise relaxation treatment is done under the state that similarly to the crosswise relaxation treatment both sides of the film are kept on being grasped with clips 23 or done by shortening the distance between the clips 23 adjoining to each other among the clips 23 arranged in large numbers.
