Abstract: Electrosurgical systems comprising an electrosurgical network connecting a plurality of electrosurgical connection units (each connectable to an electrosurgical instrument), an electrosurgical multiplexor comprising inputs configured to receive a plurality of different electrosurgical channels and an output, the electrosurgical multiplexor configured to controllably connect one or more of the electrosurgical channels of the plurality of electrosurgical channels to the output of the electrosurgical multiplexor, and a control unit configured to transmit one or more control signals to the electrosurgical connection units and the electrosurgical multiplexer to cause (i) the electrosurgical multiplexor to dynamically connect a first electrosurgical channel of the plurality of electrosurgical channels to a first set of electrosurgical conductors of the electrosurgical link connected to the output of the electrosurgical multiplexor, and (ii) each output port of a first selected set of electrosurgical connection units to be connected to the first electrosurgical channel.

Abstract: An imaging system and method includes a rolling shutter sensor that captures a plurality of images of a scene, a time-varying illumination source that illuminates the scene, and a processor that receives the plurality of images from the rolling shutter sensor and separates the plurality of images into a plurality of feeds. Each of the plurality of images is captured as a series of lines. The rolling shutter sensor and the time-varying illumination source are operated synchronously to cause a plurality of on-cadence lines of the rolling shutter sensor to receive more illumination from the time-varying illumination source than a plurality of off-cadence lines of the rolling shutter sensor. Each of the plurality of feeds has a different contribution of the time-varying illumination source to an overall illumination of the scene.

Abstract: A modular energy system comprising one or more energy modules is provided. Each of the one or more energy modules comprises a plurality of ports, and wherein each of the plurality of ports is configured to deliver an energy modality to a surgical instrument connected thereto. The modular energy system comprises a header module comprising a display screen. The display screen is configured to render a graphical user interface. The GUI is configured to display controls corresponding to the one or more energy modules that are connected to the header module.

Abstract: Systems and methods for reassigning control by a master controller between a plurality of teleoperational instruments is provided herein. An exemplary method includes detecting activation of an instrument reassignment input, computing proxy positions of at least a first instrument and a second instrument of the plurality of teleoperational instruments, and computing a proxy position of the master controller. The exemplary method may also include receiving input from the master controller associating the proxy position of the master controller with the proxy position of the second medical instrument and assigning control of the second instrument to the master controller based on the association between the proxy position of the master controller with the proxy position of the second instrument.
