    Abstract: PURPOSE: A 4-point seat belt for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to variously use the rod of a 3-point rod limiter unit depending on whether a 2-point seat belt is used. CONSTITUTION: A 4-point seat belt for a vehicle comprises a 2-point buckle sensing unit(111), a 3-point rod limiter unit(210), and a controller(300). The 2-point buckle sensing unit senses the wearing state of a 2-point belt webbing(120). The 3-point rod limiter unit is installed in a 3-point seat belt(200) and selectively provides a low or high rod to a 3-point belt webbing(220). The controller applies an operation signal to the 3-point rod limiter unit to provide the low rod to the 3-point belt webbing.
