PURPOSE: A side airbag for a vehicle is provided to reduce the probability of abnormal spreading by completely spreading an airbag cushion and to standardize the spreading ability by obtaining the identical starting point to spread. CONSTITUTION: A side airbag for a vehicle comprises an airbag module(100) and a starting tether(500). One end(520) of the starting tether is connected to a sewing line(300) inside a seat side unit(S) and the other end(540) is extended to pass through a lateral side of the airbag module and fixed to the inside the seat side unit. One end locally cuts the sewing line by an expansive force of a cushion to smoothly spread the cushion.

PURPOSE: A center airbag module of a vehicle is provided to minimize injury to a passenger in a broadside collision of a vehicle by doubly supporting passenger's head with left and right chambers. CONSTITUTION: A center airbag module of a vehicle comprises a center console(10) and an airbag cushion(20). The center console is installed between a pair of seats(S). The air bag cushion, comprising a lower chamber(22) and an upper chamber(24), is embedded in the center console and inflated in a broadside collision of a vehicle. The lower chamber supports passenger's body. The upper chamber comprises left and right chambers(24a,24b) which are divided from the top of the lower chamber to protect passenger's head.

PURPOSE: A roof airbag device for a vehicle is provided to reduce the weight of a vehicle and costs since an airbag cushion with a small volume is deployed in a space between a crash pad and a passenger. CONSTITUTION: A roof airbag device for a vehicle comprises an inflator(100), an airbag cushion(200), and a support panel(300). The inflator supplies gas pressure. The airbag cushion is installed in a space between a vehicle roof and headlining. If gas pressure is provided through the inflator, the airbag cushion is deployed to the front of the passenger. The support panel is installed on the lower part of the airbag cushion. When the airbag cushion is deployed, the support panel protects the face of a passenger.

PURPOSE: A free-crash side air bag device apparatus is provided to effectively prevent impact energy because a main and sub air bags are inflated when a high speed broadside collision is expected. CONSTITUTION: A free-crash side air bag device apparatus comprises a broadside collision sensor(110), a free-crash senor(120), a main air bag(130), a secondary air bag(140), and a control unit(150). The broadside collision sensor senses a collision at both sides of a vehicle. The free-crash senor senses a physical parameter related to a speed of an approaching object. When a control signal is input, the main air bag is inflated. The control unit receives a measured value from the free-crash sensor. In case of free-crash, the control unit inflates the main and secondary air bags even before the value measured by the broadside collision sensor. In case of a normal situation in which a low speed broadside collision is expected, or an error of a measured value is occurred, the control unit inflates a main air bag by receiving a measured value from the broadside collision sensor.

CONSTITUTION: An OCS for a vehicle includes a heater part and an occupant classification sensor(10). The heater part is located under a seat cover. The occupant classification sensor is installed on the top of the heater part and senses an occupant.
