Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the catalytic hydrogenation of adipodinitrile to hexamethylene diamine at a high temperature and at high pressure in the presence of catalysts based on elementary iron as the catalytic component, and ammonia as a solvent. The method is characterised in that a) adipodinitrile is hydrogenated at temperatures of 70 to 220 DEG C and at pressures of 100 to 400 bar in the presence of catalysts based on elementary iron as the catalytic component, and ammonia as a solvent to produce a mixture containing adipodinitrile, 6-aminocapronitrile, hexamethylene diamine and high boilers, until the sum of the 6-aminocapronitrile and adipodinitrile concentration is 1 to 50 wt. % in relation to the ammonia-free hydrogenation mixture; b) ammonia is separated out of the hydrogenation discharge; c) hexamethylene diamine is separated out of the remaining mixture; d) 6-aminocapronitrile and adipodinitrile are separated from the high boilers together or separately and e) 6-aminocapronitrile, adipodinitrile or their mixtures are returned to step a).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing aliphatic alpha, omega-amino nitriles in the presence of a catalyst composed of (a) iron or an iron based compound or a mixture thereof, (b) 0.01 to 5 wt. % in relation to (a) a promotor based on 2, 3, 4, or 5 elements selected from the group comprising aluminum, silicium, zirconium, titanium and vanadium and (c) 0 to 0.5 wt. % in relation to (a) a compound based on an alkaline metal or alkaline-earth metal. The inventive method is characterized in that the applied aliphatic alpha, omega-amino dinitrile contains 1.0 wt. ppm or more phosphor. Catalysts are obtainable through the reduction and optional successive passivation of a magnetite, whereby the catalysts have a BET surface of 3 to 10 m2/g, a total pore volume of 0.05 to 0.2 ml/g, an average pore diameter of 0.03 to 0.1 mm and a pore volume portion in the range of 0.01 to 0.1 mm of 50 to 70 %.

Abstract: REIVINDICACIONES 1.- Catalizador para la hidrogenación selectiva de alquinos y de dienos en mezclas de olefinas con 2 hasta 5 o más átomos de carbono (C2-C5+), conteniendo estos catalizadores (a) paladio (b) un metal del grupo decimoprimero del Sistema Periódico de los Elementos, (c) en caso dado un compuesto de un metal de los grupos primero o segundo del Sistema Periódico de los Elementos, estando aplicados estos metales sobre un soporte de dióxido de silicio y estando distribuido el metal del grupo decimoprimero homogéneamente a través de la sección transversal del grano del catalizador y encontrándose más del 80 % en peso del paladio en una capa con un espesor no mayor que 0, 6 mm, que está limitada por la superficie geométrica de la partícula del catalizador.

Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the selective hydrogenation of alkynes and dienes in C2-C5+-olefin mixtures,-in C2- or C3-streams of the olefin preparation by cracking. The method comprises conducting the hydrogenation in the presence of a catalyst particle comprising (a) a metal of the tenth group of the Periodic Table, (b) a metal of the eleventh group of the Periodic Table and (c) optionally a compound of a metal of the first or second group of the Periodic Table. Components (a) and (b), and optionally (c), are applied to a support selected from the group consisting of silica, titanium dioxide, zirconium oxides, spinels, zinc aluminates, zinc titanate, aluminosilicates and mixtures thereof. The metal of the eleventh group is distributed homogeneously over the cross-section of the catalyst particle, and the metal of the tenth group is present in an edge layer close to the surface of the catalyst particle.
