    Abstract: Polyester resins in fine particle form, obtd. by radical copolymerisation of unsatd. polyesters and monomers contg. C=C bonds, are used as partitioning agents for plastics which tend to stick together at normal temps. Examples of plastics for which the partitioning agents are suitable include polyisobutylene, ethylene copolymers and their mixts. with bitumen, in the form of sheet, tubes, films, fibres, granulate, etc. The polyester resin is dusted on the surface or applied as dispersion. The coating remains effective for long periods and has no significant effect on the props of the plastics.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing self-releasing, compact or cellular moulded bodies optionally containing reinforcing agents and made of polyisocyanate polyaddition products by reacting a) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates with b) at least one compound with at least two reactive hydrogen atoms and a molecular weight of 500 to 9,000 and optionally c) chain extension and/or cross-linking agents in the presence of d) alkyl and/or alkenyl succinic acid monoamides, -monoamides, poly(alkyl succinic acid)- and/or poly(alkenyl succinic acid)-polyamides, -polyimides, -monoamide monoimides, -polyamide imides, -amide polyimides and- polyamide polyimides or mixtures thereof as internal mould release agents, and also in the presence or absence of e) catalysts, f) blowing agents, g) reinforcing agents, h) auxiliary agents, in an open or closed moulding tool, optionally under compression. The invention also relates to the use of alkyl- and/or alkenyl succinic acid amides and/or imides (d) as internal mould release agents for the preparation of moulded bodies made of polyisocyanate polyaddition products.

    Abstract: The use of curable dough moulding compounds (BMC) (I) for the prodn. of directly metallisable headlamp reflectors is claimed. In addition to (A) unsatd. polyester (UP) resins, (C) low-shrinkage polymer components, (D) reinforcing glass fibres, (E) fillers, (F) peroxide initiators and opt. (G) other additives, these materials also contain (B) 2-12 wt.% crystalline unsatd. polyester which is insol. in styrene at room temp. Also claimed are headlamp reflectors made from (I). Pref. compsn. (I) contains 8-20 wt.% (A) in the form of a soln. in styrene, 2-12 wt.% (B), 5-12 wt.% (C), 8-20 wt.% (D), 40-70 wt.% (E), 0.1-1 wt.% (F) and opt. (G) (to make up 100 wt.%). (B) is a condensation prod. of fumaric acid, opt. together with terephthalic acid, with butane-1,4-diol. (C) is PMMA or a satd. polyester.
