    Abstract: The invention relates to contact bonding adhesives containing an aqueous polymer dispersion which is characterized in that the polymer is made up of 55 to 99.9 wt. % of at least one C1-C12 alkyl(meth)acrylate (monomers a); 0.05 to 20 wt. % of at least one vinyl-aromatic compound (monomers b); 0.05 to 10 wt. % of at least one ethylenically unsaturated hydroxy compound (monomers c); 0 to 10 wt. % of an ethylenically unsaturated acid or of an acid anhydride (monomers d); and 0 to 30 wt. % of other ethylenically unsaturated compounds (monomers e), whereby the indications of weight refer to the polymer, and the polymer dispersion contains an emulsifier of which up to 5 wt. % consists of C atoms (referred to as an aromatic emulsifier), or contains an emulsifier mixture of which up to 10 wt. % consists of an aromatic emulsifier.
