Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the durability and suppress the run-out of a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: Herringbone grooves 111 are cut in the lower part of the outer peripheral surface of a rotary shaft 106. Plural notches 11 are formed on the outer periphery of a rotary thrust plate 10 in which the rotary shaft 106 is fitted and fixed. Lubricating fluid is sealed between the rotary shaft 106 and the rotary thrust plate 10, and bearing surfaces 113 or the inside surface of a shaft hole. When the rotary shaft 106 and the rotary thrust plate 10 are rotated, pressure is generated by the herringbone grooves 111 to support radial load. Further, pressure is generated by the notches 11 in the neighborhood of the outer periphery of the rotary thrust plate 10 to receive thrust load. Furthermore, since the lubricating fluid is efficiently circulated by the notches 11, the frictional loss is reduced to enhance the durability, and thus to suppress the rotational run-out.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a complicated mechanism to prevent erroneous loading by forming the end part side of a disc cartridge as a curving surface and then opening or closing the aperture by sliding the shutter along the curving surface. SOLUTION: If a disc cartridge 1 is loaded erroneously with a reversed front surface, the longer side surface aperture of the disk cartridge 1 is located at the right side, but the side surface 1c collides with a stopper member 48 and can no longer be loaded any more before the disc cartridge 1 is totally loaded. Moreover, since the disk cartridge 1 does not come in contact with a head 50 of the actuator 49 in standby, the head 50 is not broken by the erroneous loading either.

When the write/read operation of signal stops from this condition, the magnetic head 21 is lifted for separation from the recording surface of the hard disc 101.

Consequently, the angle of rotation of the turntable 12 on the base NO is not limited specially and the turntable 12 can freely rotate. In this case, the signal data regarding the signal source (e.g. video camera) M are transmitted and received as light signal data between the base 10 and turntable 12 in a non-contact state and processed. Therefore, the signal data can securely be sent and received between the base 10 and turntable 12 even if the signal data are digital data, not to mention analog data.

So, the height of the roller 23a is adjusted in such a manner that a driver or the like is inserted to a groove provided on the surface of an upper flange 25 and turned with the demand of ascending/descending the main body 28 of roller thereby the main body 28 is moved in the vertical direction in accordance with the thread direction of a thread shaft part 27. Since the moving distance of the shaft part 27 is very short at this stage, the fine adjustment for the height is attained. After that, a pawl piece 30a is always abutted on a knurled part 33, then the generation of vertical movement in the main body is interrupted.

A supply side reel base 8 is released from a brake shoe 36 by a brake arm 34 with its pin 37 and a groove 38, and a claw 41 is engaged with a tooth 9a of a take-up side reel base 9 by an arm 39 with its pin 42 and a groove 43 so as to stop the rotation. When the chassis 7 is moved to the frontmost end, a recording/reproducing mode becomes effective, and the tape is taken up in keeping up its appropriate tension.
