Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce electric resistance, improve gas permeability and improve jointing to a catalyst layer of a cell by forming the porous structure of one side layer of sheet material mainly composed of conductive material, to be coarse, and forming the porous structure of the other side layer to be dense. SOLUTION: The sheet material is formed in coarse and dense structure combining fibrous conductive material 5-10 μm in diameter and 1 mm or more in fiber length and fibrous conductive material 5-10 μm in diameter and less than 1 mm in fiber length. A conductive sheet of coarse and dense structure can be formed by forming a coarse porous structure surface of the fibrous conductive material 1 mm or more in fiber length and forming a denser porous structure surface of the fibrous conductive material less than 1 mm in fiber length. It is also desirable to form the conductive sheet of coarse and dense structure using an unwoven fabric structure sheet using carbon fiber 1-30 mm in fiber length for the coarse porous structure surface and using carbon fiber less than 1 mm in fiber length for the dense porous structure surface.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery excellent in safety by containing a radical capturing agent in a secondary battery using a positive electrode, a negative electrode and nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: For example, besides hindered amine and the like, hindered phenol and the like and hydroquinone and the like used without being particularly limited, an ultraviolet ray absorbent is also suitably used as a radical capturing agent. An adding quantity of the radical capturing agent becomes different by a battery internal part to be added, but 0.1 to 30% is used in the weight ratio to an electrode such as positive electrode and a negative electrode, electrolyte or a separator or the like. Preferably, it is set to 1 to 20%. When it is little, an effect is hardly obtained, and when it is too much, there is a case where charge-discharge performance of a battery become insufficient. An Li compound such as metallic Li and Li alloy, a carbon material capable of doping an Li ion, a transition metal compound or the like can be cited as a negative electrode active material used in a secondary battery.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery, in which reduction in high output capacity/low output capacity is suppressed even if an electrode formed of a powder molding is thick, by limiting a relationship between conductivity and viscosity of a nonaqueous electrolytic solution in a nonaqueous secondary battery. SOLUTION: In a secondary battery provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution containing LiPF6 as electrolyte, a ratio (p)=σ/η of the conductivity σ (10 S/cm) to the viscosity η(cps) of the nonaqueous electrolytic solution is 1 or more. A mixture of a high dielectric constant solvent and a low viscosity solvent is desirable for a solvent constituent of the nonaqueous electrolytic solution. A combination of cyclic carbonate and chain carbonate is especially suitable, as it increases a high output capacity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance a Coulomb efficiency, and thereby make an energy density high by assembling a secondary battery after each electrode composed of carbon material is charged/discharged in advance, and thereby eliminating the generation of decomposed gas and byproducts within the battery. CONSTITUTION:After a carbon electrode produced through specified manufacturing processes, is charged/discharge in advance, it is assembled in a battery as an anode or a cathode, so that a secondary battery is thereby made up. This constitution thereby eliminates the generation of decomposed gas and byproducts at the time of initial charging/discharging, can make a Coulomb efficiency equal to or more than 95%, and also can make an energy density high. Besides, a fiber structural body is desirable as carbon material, the kind of raw material and its manufacture are not particularly specified.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the full-solid electrochromic display element (ECD) which enables drawing without any complicate patterning process and has superior durability by specifying the transmission spectrum of a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) of tungsten oxide. CONSTITUTION:Plural layers including an electrochromic material layer 4 of tungsten oxide and a solid electrolytic layer 3 are provided on a substrate 1 which has a 1st electrode layer 2 to obtain the layers including the electrochromic material layer 4 and solid electrolytic layer 3 and a 2nd electrode layer 5 equipped with an elastic film. The spectrum of tungsten by the FT-IR satisfies expressions I and II, where absorbance of 1400cm is A1400, absorbance of 1800cm A1800, the maximum absorbance of 1600-1650cm is A*, absorbance of 2500cm A2500, absorbance of 4000cm A4000, and absorbance of 3400cm A3400. Therefore, the touch panel type full-solid ECD which enables drawing and has superior durability is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an optical resin which can improve the weathering resis tance of a base and is useful for a spectacle lens or the like which can cut unnecessary ultraviolet rays by copolymerizing a monomer with an ultraviolet absorber having an unsaturated double bond. CONSTITUTION:An optical resin is prepared by copolymerizing an ultraviolet absorber composed of a basic structure such as a benzotriazole, benzophenone or phenyl benzoate compound and an unsaturated double bond, e.g. 4- methacryloyloxyethyloxy-2-hydroxybenzophenone of formula I with a monomer (e.g. xylenedithiol dimethacrylate) and three-dimensionally crosslinking the copolymer. The weight ratio of the ultraviolet absorber to the monomer used is desirably 0.01-20%, more desirably 1-10%.
