    Abstract: PURPOSE:To mold a polyester film excellent in thickness uniformity and oriented at least in a longitudinal direction. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film based on polyethylene terephthalate and characterized by that the difference (Tc-Tg) between cold crystallizing temp. Tc and glass transition temp. Tg is 60 deg.C or lower is molded after the degree of crystallization of the film in a preheating stage before first stage stretching is set to 0.5-25%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elevate the upper limit of a sheet molding speed preventing the generation of defects in a thermoplastic resin sheet in an electrostatic casting method. SOLUTION: In a method for producing the thermoplastic resin sheet, when the thermoplastic resin is extruded from a nozzle into a sheet, and the sheet is contacted with a cooling drum by the electrostatic casting method, cooled, and solidified for molding, the sheet is charged electrostatically by using tape- shaped electrodes, and a member which is different in shape or material from a member for preventing discharge to the cooling drum is fitted to the tip of the member.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the upper limit of a sheet forming speed by giving electrostatic charges to a sheet by means of a tape-like electrode and a destaticization is executed at the separation of the sheet. SOLUTION: Electrostatic charges are uniformly given with a tape-like electrode 3 to a melt thermoplastic resin 2 extruded in a sheet out of a mouthpiece 1. An electrostatically charged resin sheet is cooled and solidified on the surface of a cooling drum 4 as the cooling drum 4 rotates so as to form a resin sheet 5, which is separated at its release point 6 so as to be sent through proper guide rolls 7, 8 and 9 to the following process. In this case, a destaticization is executed at a position ahead the release point 6. Since the resin sheet is uniformly given by electrostatic charges and the electrostatic charges are destaticized at the separation of the resin sheet, the favorably tightly adhered state of the resin sheet to the cooling drum is ensured so as to allow to suppress the development of ununiform application and the discharge between the sheet and the drum, resulting in allowing to increase the upper limit speed at the molding of the sheet.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent discharge of a cooling rotor made of an insulating material having specific volume ratio resistance by providing discharge preventive members at the rotor at both ends of an electrode made of string-like metal material disposed so as to cross a resin sheet. SOLUTION: This apparatus discharges melted resin sheet 2 from a mouthpiece, brings it into contact with a cooling rotor 3 by electrostatic charge application, cools to solidify it, and molds it in a resin sheet. As an electrode 5 for applying electrostatic charge, a string-like metal electrode is used. The electrode 5 is disposed in the vicinity directly above a landing point of the sheet 2 on the rotor 3, and disposed at a position of a distance of a range of 3 to 15 mm from the sheet 2 at a lower end of the electrode 5 to cross the sheet 2. A discharge preventive member 6 made of ceramics or resin is used to cover both the ends of the electrode 5 of this case. The member 6 is made of a material having insulation of 1×10 Ω.cm or more of a volume ratio resistance.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a polyester film which contains few fine granular structures, has a high intrinsic viscosity, and is suitable for a magnetic tape for long-time recording by mixing a polyester having an elevated degree of polymn. with a polyether and forming the resulting mixture into a biaxially oriented film. CONSTITUTION: This biaxially oriented polyester film comprises a composite of a polyester and a polyether and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.8dl/g or higher. Pref. the polyester is produced by a solid phase polymn., has a low oligomer content, and is polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene 2,6- naphthalenedicarboxylate having an elevated degree of polymn. The polyether is a copolymer such as polyethylene oxide or polyethylene glycol and pref. has the molecular terminals blocked. The film contains the polyether in an amt. of 0.1-10wt.%, pref. 0.2-5wt.%. Thus is obtd. a high-tensile-modulus polyester film with few coarse surface projections H3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To enhance the dimensional stability and mechanical strength of a polyester film by setting the ratio of dynamic loss at specific temp. to a specific range. CONSTITUTION: The ratio of the dynamic loss tanδ at 95 deg.C of a polyester film is set to 1.05-15, pref., 1.05-1.4. When polyester is polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate, the dispersion peak of tanδ is observed in the vicinity of 95 deg.C and this dispersion peak is considered to be based on the motion of a naphthalene ring and, when the ratio of tank at 95 deg.C is within this range, the motion of molecules is restrained and the dimensional change by heat of the film and the deformation at a time of the reception of long-time stress of the film are hard to generate.
