    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a protection mode of an electric oil pump and, more specifically, to a method for controlling a protection mode of an electric oil pump, which is capable of preventing degradation of driving comfort or shifting disabled situation caused by the frequent execution of the protection mode by reducing an unnecessary entry to the protection mode. To achieve the above purpose, the present invention provides the method for controlling a protection mode of an electric oil pump comprises the steps of receiving the temperature of a coil from a temperature sensor which detects the temperature of the coil in a motor of the pump while the electric oil pump is driven; calculating the rate of change of the coil temperature from the coil temperature; determining whether predetermined pump protection mode entry conditions are satisfied, based on the coil temperature and the rate of change of the coil temperature; and performing protection mode control for pump protection when it is determined that the pump protection mode entry conditions are satisfied.
