    Abstract: Disclosed herein are pyrrolopyrimidine derivatives of formula VIII where the substituents are as defined herein, pharmaceutical compositions containing them, and the use of the compounds in the manufacture of medicaments for the treatment of proliferation disorders and other diseases related to the dysregulation of kinases (such as, but not limited to, EGFR (including HER), Alk, PDGFR, BLK, BMX/ETK, BTK, FLT3(D835Y), ITK, JAKl, JAK2, JAK3, TEC and TXK) and/or the respective pathways. Specific examples of the compounds of formula VIII include N-(3-((2-((4-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)phenyl)amino)-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)oxy)phenyl)acrylamide and N-(3-(2-( 4-(1-(2-fluoroethyl)azetidin-3-ylamino)-2-methoxyphenylamino )-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-ylamino)phenyl)acrylamide.

    Abstract: A system for detecting signal components of light induced by multiple excitation sources including: a flow channel including at least two spatially separated optical interrogation zones; a non-modulating excitation source that directs a light beam of a first wavelength at a near constant intensity onto a first of the optical interrogation zones; a modulating excitation source that directs a light beam of a second wavelength with an intensity modulated over time at a modulating frequency onto a second of the optical interrogation zones; a detector subsystem comprising a set of detectors configured to detect light emitted from particles flowing through the at least two optical interrogation zones and to convert the detected light into a total electrical signal; and a processor that determines signal components from the light detected from each of the optical interrogation zones.

    Abstract: Novel compounds having a fused bicyclic hetero aromatic ring system substituted with a thiazole ring are disclosed. The compounds inhibit growth of a variety of types of cancer cells, and are thus useful for treating cancer. Efficacy of these compounds is demonstrated with a system for monitoring cell growth/migration, which shows they are potent inhibitors of growth and/or migration of cancer cells. In addition, compounds of the invention were shown to stop growth of tumors in vivo, and to reduce the size of tumors in vivo. Compositions comprising these compounds, and methods to use these compounds and compositions for treatment of cancers, are disclosed.
