Abstract:
At an electronic device, detect a first input on the touch-sensitive surface that represents selection of a first ideogram. Identify at least one attribute of the first ideogram. Select a plurality of suggested one or more characters to display, where at least a first set of suggested one or more characters is selected based on a set of selection criteria, the set of selection criteria including the identified at least one attribute of the first ideogram. Display at least the first set of suggested one or more characters. Detect a second input on the touch-sensitive surface that represents selection of the displayed first set of suggested one or more characters. In response to detecting the second input, displaying a composed electronic message, the composed electronic message including the first ideogram and the selected first set of suggested one or more characters.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a touch-sensitive display can obtain a plurality of alerts associated with dates and times. The device can detect a user input, and in response to the input display a notification interface. The notification interface can include a future notification representing a future alert with a date and time after the current date and time, and a past notification representing a past alert with a date and time before the current date and time. The future and past notifications can be separated by a graphical separator that has an indication of the current time. The future and past alerts correspond to different installed applications.
Abstract:
An electronic device having a user interface for accessing phone features. The user interface accounts for whether the electronic device is connected to a companion cellular phone. The user interface accounts for a headset is available for use to carry on a call. The user interface permits transition between using one or more of cellular phone, headset, and/or the electronic device to be used for carrying on incoming or outgoing calls.
Abstract:
A method comprising, at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display: and a rotatable input mechanism: displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a user interface comprising a plurality of objects each associated with a contact of a plurality of contacts and an affordance having a visual appearance representing a first contact of the plurality of contacts; receiving a first input corresponding to a rotation of the rotatable input mechanism; and in response to receiving the input corresponding to the rotation of the rotatable input mechanism, updating the visual appearance of the affordance to represent a second contact among the plurality of contacts.
Abstract:
Target electronic devices can be remotely controlled using a personal electronic device are disclosed. The personal electronic device can identify target devices that are responsive to remote control. The personal electronic device displays graphical user interface objects that, when selected, cause the personal electronic device to instruct the target electronic device to perform an operation.
Abstract:
A device with a display and, optionally, a touch- sensitive surface detects a first input corresponding to a request to share first content from a first application while displaying the first application on the display. In response to detecting the first input, the device displays a sharing interface that includes a plurality of options for sharing the first content. While displaying the sharing interface, the device detects selection of an affordance in the sharing interface. In accordance with a determination that the affordance is a respective user-first sharing option for a respective user, the device initiates a process for sharing the first content with the respective user. In accordance with a determination that the affordance is a protocol-first sharing option for a respective protocol, the device initiates a process for sharing the first content using the respective protocol.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for providing enhanced user interfaces and functionalities for internet radio applications are presented. In some embodiments, a computer system may determine, based on purchase history associated with a user account, one or more content seeds for at least two internet radio stations. The computer system then may select one or more songs to be provided via the at least two internet radio stations based on the one or more content seeds. Subsequently, the computer system may provide the at least two internet radio stations to one or more user devices linked to the user account.
Abstract:
Methods and systems of delaying the execution of a display event based on a detected user gaze are provided. Display events may be generated and executed to change a user interface of a display. For example, an autocorrect algorithm can automatically replace a typed word with a corrected word in a text field, generating a display event that causes the corrected word to be displayed instead of the typed word. Such a display event may be executed as soon as possible after its generation. However, a gaze detection device can obtain information that indicates a user is not looking at the typed word on the display. In such a situation, it may be more intuitive to delay the execution of the display event until the gaze information indicates that the user is looking at the typed word.
Abstract:
A device with a touch sensitive display and a plurality of applications, including a camera application, while the device is in a locked, passcode-protected state: displays a lock screen interface, the lock screen interface including a camera access indicia; detects a gesture; in response to a determination that the gesture starts on the camera access indicia: ceases to display the lock screen interface; starts a restricted session for the camera application; displays an interface for the camera application, without displaying a passcode entry interface; and maintains the device in the locked, passcode-protected state for the applications other than the camera application; and in response to a determination that the gesture starts at a location other than the camera access indicia: displays a passcode entry interface, wherein in response to entry of a correct passcode in the passcode entry interface, the device enters an unlocked state.
Abstract:
A method at a client device includes displaying media library information corresponding to a set of media items. The media items include one or more local media items, the one or more local media items including media items stored at the client device, and one or more remote media items, the one or more remote media items including media items stored at a remote system and not at the client device. The method also includes displaying, concurrently with displaying the media library information, affordances identifying the remote media items; detecting user interaction with an affordance identifying a respective remote media item; and in response to detecting the user interaction, initiating a process for downloading a copy of the respective remote media item to the client device for storage at the client device.
