Abstract:
An electronic device displays a user interface that includes: a slider that corresponds to a first range of values, and one or more other user interface objects. The device detects a contact on a touch-sensitive surface while a focus selector is at the slider. The device detects a first increase in a characteristic intensity of the contact on the touch-sensitive surface while the focus selector is at the slider; and, in response to detecting the first increase in the characteristic intensity of the contact on the touch-sensitive surface and in accordance with a determination that the characteristic intensity of the contact meets intensity criteria: the device displays an expanded portion, less than all, of the slider while maintaining an appearance of the one or more other user interface objects.
Abstract:
A media device including a least one sensor that generates a sensor signal based on at least one of a position, orientation, and movement of the media device. The media device also includes a processor that receives the sensor signal and controls one or more operations of the media device based at least in part on the sensor signal. The media device may include a database or data store having one or more known movement patterns where each movement pattern is associated with an operation of the media device. The processor compares the sensor signal with the one or more known movement patterns to determine the associated operation of the media device. The comparing function may include employing a pattern recognition algorithm or technique.
Abstract:
An electronic device presents a first portion of structured content on a display. The structured content includes a plurality of sections and the first portion includes content from a first section of the plurality of sections. The device detects a contact on the touch-sensitive surface, detects an increase in a characteristic intensity of the contact, and detects a movement of the contact. In response to detecting the increase in the characteristic intensity of the contact and the movement of the contact: in accordance with a determination that the characteristic intensity of the contact increases above an intensity threshold, the device translates the structured content to display a start of a second section; and in accordance with a determination that the characteristic intensity of the contact does not increase above the intensity threshold, the device translates the structured content in accordance with a magnitude of the movement of the contact.
Abstract:
An electronic device for providing a display that changes based on the user's perspective is provided. The electronic device may include a sensing mechanism operative to detect the user's position relative a display of the electronic device. For example, the electronic device may include a camera operative to detect the position of the user's head. Using the detected position, the electronic device may be operative to transform displayed objects such that the displayed perspective reflects the detected position of the user. The electronic device may use any suitable approach for modifying a displayed object, including for example a parallax transform or a perspective transform. In some embodiments, the electronic device may overlay the environment detected by the sensing mechanism (e.g., by a camera) to provide a more realistic experience for the user (e.g., display a reflection of the image detected by the camera on reflective surfaces of a displayed object).
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to methods for tracking the performance of a physical activity event. In some embodiments, the method is performed at a computer system that is in communication with one or more perceptual output generation components and one or more sensors and includes detecting a start of a physical activity, providing ongoing feedback relating to a target duration, and if the activity continues for at least the duration, indicating that the activity continued for at least the target duration.
Abstract:
Electronic devices with improved methods and interfaces for messaging are disclosed, including improved ways to: acknowledge messages; edit previously sent messages; express what a user is trying to communicate; display private messages; synchronize viewing of content between users; incorporate handwritten inputs; quickly locate content in a message transcript; integrate a camera; integrate search and sharing; integrate interactive applications; integrate stickers; make payments; interact with avatars; make suggestions; navigate among interactive applications; manage interactive applications; translate foreign language text; combine messages into a group; and flag messages.
Abstract:
A method comprising, at an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display: and a rotatable input mechanism: displaying, on the touch-sensitive display, a user interface comprising a plurality of objects each associated with a contact of a plurality of contacts and an affordance having a visual appearance representing a first contact of the plurality of contacts; receiving a first input corresponding to a rotation of the rotatable input mechanism; and in response to receiving the input corresponding to the rotation of the rotatable input mechanism, updating the visual appearance of the affordance to represent a second contact among the plurality of contacts.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to generating and modifying virtual avatars. An electronic device having a camera and a display apparatus displays a virtual avatar that changes appearance in response to changes in a face in a field of view of the camera. In response to detecting changes in one or more physical features of the face in the field of view of the camera, the electronic device modifies one or more features of the virtual avatar.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to electronic touch communications that include visual information, such as a video or image in combination with visual representations that are based on a single-finger touch input or a multiple-finger touch input, where said touch input is performed in a drawing area of a touch-sensitive display comprising a digital viewfinder for capturing images with a camera.
Abstract:
An electronic device includes a camera. While in a first media acquisition mode for the camera the device displays a live preview on the display. While displaying the live preview, the device detects activation of a shutter button. In response to detecting activation of the shutter button, the device groups a plurality of images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button into a sequence of images. The sequence of images includes: a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button; a representative image that represents the first sequence of images and was acquired by the camera after one or more of the other images in the first sequence of images; and a plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image. The application further deals with different ways of navigating in the sequence of image, e.g via dragging or pressure detection of touch input.
