    Abstract: Preparation of soft polyurethane (PU) foam (A) by reacting a polyisocyanate (I) with a block polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene polyol (II), having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms; hydroxy number 25-45 mg potassium hydroxide/g and content of terminally bound ethylene oxide units 15-17wt.% on total amount of alkylene oxide. Preparation of soft polyurethane (PU) foam (A) by reacting a polyisocyanate (I) with a block polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene polyol (II), having at least two isocyanate-reactive hydrogen atoms; hydroxy number 25-45 mg potassium hydroxide/g and content of terminally bound ethylene oxide units 15-17wt.% on total amount of alkylene oxide. (II) is prepared by addition of ethylene and propylene oxides to a starter molecule (III) of mean functionality 3. Independent claims are also included for: (a) (A) produced by the new method; (b) (II); and (c) polyol mixture, for preparing soft PU, that contains at least one (II).

    Abstract: In a compound of the formula I(see formula I)(reactive polymer), L is a polymer, XY is a reactive radical which is inert toward NCO groups and splits off one or more protective groups Y under acidic, neutral or basic conditions and the radical X bears, after Y has been split off, at least two groups which are reactive toward isocyanates. Also provided are processes for preparing such a polymer and for preparing a polymer polyol which is obtainable by reacting a polymer of the formula I with an acid or base. A polymer polyol as is obtainable by treatment of a reactive polymer according to the present invention in the neutral, acidic or basic range can be used to produce a polyaddition product or polycondensation product.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of flexible, soft polyurethane foams having viscoelastic, structure-borne sound-proofing properties in a temperature range of from -20.degree.C to +80.degree.C by reacting a) a polyoxyalkylene-polyol mixture containing ai) block polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene-polyol mixture having a hydroxyl number of from 14 to 65 and containing from 2 to 9 % by weight of terminal ethylene oxide units, based on the weight of the polyoxypropylene units, prepared by anionic polymerization, at elevated temperatures, of 1,2-propyleneoxide onto an initiator molecule mixture having a mean functionality of from 2.3 to 2.8, comprising water and ylycerol and/or trimethylolpropane, and polymerization of acylene oxide onto the resultant polyoxypropylene adduct, and aii) one or more difunctional and/or trifunctional polyoxypropylene-polyoxyethylene-polyol containing from 60 to 85 % by weight of oxyethylene units, based on the total weight of polymerized alkylene oxide units, and having a hydroxyl number of from 20 to 80, and b) if desired low-molecular-weight chain extenders with c) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates in the presence of d) catalysts, e) blowing agents, preferably water, and, if desired, f) auxiliaries and/or additives, and to the polyoxyalkylene-polyol mixtures (a) which can be used for this purpose.
