    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition having balanced and excellent impact resistance, flexibility, heat-resistance, moldability, etc. and uniform and finely dispersed structure, by compounding a polyamide resin with a specific modified polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) 5- 98wt%, preferably 10-95wt% of a polyamide resin with (B) 95-2wt%, preferably 90-5wt% of a modified polyolefin containing 0.001-10mol%, preferably 0.01-5mol%, based on the molar number of the whole constituent components of the polyolefin, of the functional group of formula I and/or formula II (n is 2-10, preferably 2, 3, 4 or 10; R is H or organic group, preferably H, 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or benzyl).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the broken pieces of the blade from being scattered to distant places by arranging linear materials or the like along the lenghwise direction in the cavity of the windmill blade. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of cores 2A, 2B, made by expansion molding of urethane and having the substantially same section as the section of the cavity, are provided in the cavity of the windmill blade 1 with equal intervals. A rope 3, penetrating through the cores and stretched in the lengthwise direction of the windmill blade 1, is bound by a thread 5 onto the surface of stiffening plates 4 arranged at both end surfaces of the windmill blade 1 and both binding parts are adhered by resin. The rope 3 is provided with a flexibility, meeting to the centrifugal force due to the rotation and the deflection due to the air force caused by the rotation, as well as a strength capable of withstanding against a scattering force in case the windmill blade is broken.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. with excellent stiffness toughness and heat resistance, and discharge stability in extrusion, by blending a modified polyofied polyolefin or arom. polyamide having a variety of functional groups with a mixt. of nylon 6 or 66 and a higher polyamide. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. mixt. of (i) 20-95wt% polyamide having as the principal structual unit caproamide unit and/or hexamethylene adipamide unit, and (ii) 5-80wt%. polyamide obtained by melt polymn. of at least one member selected from the group consisting of 11-12C aliph. amino acids, lactams, and equimolar salts of 6-12C aliph. diamines with 6-12C aliph. dicarboxylic acids (except for hexamethylene-diammonium adipate), is mixed and kneaded with 1-40pts.wt. polyamide consisting of (i) modified polyolefin having at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acid (metallic salt, esters), anhydride and epoxy groups, or (ii) arom. amino acids, arom. diamines, and/or arom. dicarboxylic acids, yielding the titled compsn.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble or finely water-dispersible copolyamide having improved flexibility, transparency, and toughness, by copolymerizing a specific amount of polyoxyethylene or poly(oxyethylene/oxypropylene)segment. CONSTITUTION:A) 30-70pts.wt. of a polyoxyethylene or poly(oxyethylene/propylene) having a terminal amino or carboxyl group and a number average molecular weight of the polyether segment of 150-2,000 is copolymerized with B) 70-30pts. wt. of a polyamide forming monomer having a dicarboxylic acid or diamine in such an amount as to react with the terminal group of the component A to form a salt.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin compsn. having excellent, rigidity and impact resistance with improvements in the tensile toughness and chemical resistance of a thermoplastic styrene resin by blending the thermoplastic styrene resin with a modified polyolefin resin and a specific modified graft copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin compsn. comprises the following components [A] to [C]. The component [A] is a thermoplastic styrene resin. The component, [B] is a modified polyolefin resin prepd. by grafting a polyolefin resin with an alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid or a deriv. thereof, the amt. of which is 0.1 to 15wt.% based on the polyolefin resin. The component [C] is either a modified graft copolymer prepd. by graft copolymn. of a diene rubber with a monomer mixture of an epoxy group-contg. vinyl monomer and other copolymerizable monomer, or a modified graft copolymer compsn. comprising the above-mentioned modified graft copolymer and a copolymer of the remaining monomers. The blending ratio is such that [A]/[B]=-5/95 to 95/5 (wt. ratio) and the amt. of the component [C] is 1-100 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. in total of the components [A] and [B].

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the subject molding excellent in the prevention of delamination, etc., by molding a resin compsn. comprising specified amts. of a polyolefin, a specific polyetheresteramide, and a specific polyolefin oligomer. CONSTITUTION:The objective molding is prepd. by molding a resin compsn. which comprises 50-98.9wt.% polyolefin (e.g. PP), 1-40wt.% polyetheresteramide prepd. by copolymerizing a 6C or higher aminocarboxylic acid or lactam or a 6C or higher diamine salt of a dicarboxylic acid (e.g. caprolactam), a poly (alkylene oxide) glycol (e.g. polyethylene glycol) having a number-average mol.wt. of 200-6.000, and a 4-20C dicarboxylic acid (e.g. terephthalic acid) in such a manner that the resulting copolymer has a content of polyetherester units of 10-90wt.%, and 0.1-40wt.% component consisting of an acid-anhydride- modified polyolefin and/or a polyolefin oligomer having a specified number- average mol.wt. and having been grafted with an unsatd. carboxylic acid (anhydride) (e.g. a maleic-anhydride-modified PP).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the unit for making the fibers flame-resistant or infusibilization which can increase the infusibilization rate without giving any physical damage to the precursor fibers. CONSTITUTION:In the infusibliization unit where two groups of outer rollers 12a through 12c and 13a through 13c are arranged on both sides of the infusibilization furnace 20 in the longitudinal direction so that the precursor fibers 101 can be passed through and returned several times, and solid thermal medium particles 30 piled up in the furnace 20 are fluidized with a heated oxidative gas to effect continuous heat treatment of the precursor fibers 101 in the fluidized thermal medium, at least one of a porous body 31 of wavy cross section is set between each stage of the yarn path. On the way the bubbles in the fluidized layer 4 go up, they collide to the porous body 31 to change their vectors and the bubbles burst into uniform fine bubbles.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyolefin blown hollow molded material having permanent antistatic properties and excellent surface properties of the molded material by mixing a specific amount of specific polyether ester amide. CONSTITUTION:(A) 60-99wt.%, preferably 60-98wt.% polyolefin (e.g. polyethylene or polypropylene) is mixed with (B) 40-1wt.%, preferably 40-2wt.% polyether ester amide obtained by copolymerization of B1: >=6C aminocarboxylic acid or lactam, or salt of >=6C diamine and dicarboxylic acid (e.g. caprolactam or 12-aminododecanoic acid), B2: poly(alkylene oxide) glycol having 200-6000 number-average molecular weight (e.g. polyethylene glycol) and B3: 4-20C dicarboxylic acid (e.g. terephthalic acid) so as to contain 10-90wt.% polyether ester unit.
