    Abstract: PURPOSE:Titled composition which is suitable for the production of a flexible solid relief printing material which can provide soft clear relief images, including a modified N-alkoxymethylated polyamide as a resin component. CONSTITUTION:An N-alkoxymethylated polyamide is reacted with a photopolymerizable double bond-containing epoxy compound represented by formula I, wherein R is H, alkyl, halogen or the like, A is an ester linkage, an amide linkage, an amide linkage, an ether linkage or the like and n is 0-3, at 30-150 deg.C for 0.5- 48hr in a solvent which is an alcohol or an alcohol/water mixture, thereby to obtain (A) an N-alkoxymethylated polyamide having one photopolymerizable double bond on a molecular end via an epoxy ester linkage represented by formula II, Next, 5-90wt% of (A) is mixed with 10-90wt% of (B) a photopolymerizable monomer having at least one double bond, 2-40wt% of (C) a plasticizer or extender for polyamide, 0.01-10wt% of (D) a photosensitizer and 0.01-10wt% of (E) a thermal-polymerization inhibitor.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a copolyamide excellent in transparency, toughness, and ethanol resistance, by polycondensing a dicarboxylic acid component comprising terephthalic and isophthalic acids with a diamine component based on 5-methyl- nonamethylenediamine. CONSTITUTION:A copolyamide is obtained by polycondensing by heating a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 70-90mol% terephthalic acid and 30- 10mol% isophthalic acid with a diamine component comprising 70-100mol% 5-methylnonamethylenediamine-(1,9) and 0-30mol% 2,4-dimethyloctanediamine- (1,8) and 2,4,6-trimethylheptanediamine-(1,7) and, optionally, a polymerization degree modifier, heat stabilizer, and light stabilizer at 250-300 deg.C and an elevated pressure in the presence of a small amount of water in an inert gas atmosphere, while the water formed is being removed from the system.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain high flexural fatigue resistance, hinge characteristics and stabilized recovery cycles in practical molding without deteriorating the respective characteristics, by incorporating a small amount of a modified polyolefin with a mixture of a polyamide with a polyester. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition obtained by incorporating 100pts.wt. mixture consisting of (A) 5-95wt%, preferably 10-90wt% polyamide and (B) 95-5wt%, preferably 90-10wt% thermoplastic polyester with (C) 5-45pts.wt., preferably 10-40pts.wt. modified polyolefin. Nylon 6 and nylon 66 are useful as the component (A), and polyethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate are useful as the component (B). Ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer, ethylene/methacrylic acid/sodium methacrylate copolymer and ethylene/methacrylic acid/zinc methacrylate copolymer, etc. are useful as the component (C).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having suppressed bleed-out and the generation of gas during injection molding, and having remarkably improved flame-retardance, by compounding a specific melamine cyanurate to a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide resin is compounded with a melamine cyanurate prepared by reacting melamine with cyanuric acid in an aqueous solvent containing an organic basic compound of formula (R1, R2 and R3 are H, 1-10C aliphatic group, 1-10C alicyclic group or 1-10C heterocyclic hydrocarbon group containing N atom as the hetero atom). The polyamide resin is preferably nylon 66 or a copolyamide containing the polymer as a main component. The organic basic compound is preferably ethylenediamine, propylamine, dihexylamine, etc., and its amount is 0.1-50mol%, preferably 1-30mol%, based on melamine and cyanuric acid.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A prepolymer composed of a specific polyhydroxy compound and a polyisocyanate is dispersed in water and a chain extender is made to act thereon to produce high-quality titled emulsion free from adverse effects caused by the emulsifier. CONSTITUTION:The reaction between (A) polyhydroxy compounds including a polyhydroxy compound with 3 or more functional groups such as glycerol, (B) monohydroxypolyalkylene oxide of which the polyoxyalkylene chains are composed of 50-100wt% of oxyethylene chains and the molecular weight is 400-8,000, and (C) an excess amount of polyisocyanate is conducted to produce a prepolymer with isocyanate groups on the chain terminals. Then, the prepolymer is dispersed in water and (D) a chain extender is made to act thereon or the prepolymer is partially chain extended, then made to react with the component D to produce the objective emulsion. USE:Artificial leather, adhesive, coating and so on.
